OTET Answer Key 2019 - Board of Secondary Education Odisha is expected to be release the answer key of OTET 2019, tentatively in January. It must be noted that OTET answer key 2019 will be released in two stages – provisional and final. The provisional answer key of OTET will be released so that candidates can challenge it, in case of discrepancies. After the challenges/complaints are scrutinised, the authority will release the final OTET answer key 2019. Through the OTET answer key, candidates will be able to check their correct and incorrect answer options and verify how many answers of theirs are correct.

Basis the comparison of their answers with that of OTET 2019 answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their probable score in the examination.

What if there are discrepancies in OTET Answer Key?

In case there are errors/mistakes/discrepancies in the answer key of OTET 2019, candidates have to raise their concerns by submitting their objections/complaints to the authorities. Check the procedure of submitting your objections below. 


How to submit objections for OTET Answer Key 2019

In case any candidate finds that any question or answer option in the official answer key of OTET 2019 is not correct, then in such a case, the candidate can submit a complain against the answer key with proof of validating their claim of correctness. 


Is there any fee for submitting objections for OTET answer key 2019?

Yes, there is a fee for submitting objections. Along with the documentary proof to prove their claim of challenge, candidates also have to pay Rs. 500 as fee for each question/answer to the board within the given time frame. No challenge/complaint will be accepted after the last date of the objection is over. 


Scrutiny of OTET Answer Key

An expert team will scrutinise the objections and if the complaints are proved to be correct, then the team will release the final answer key of OTET 2019. Know details about the OTET provisional and final answer key process below.  

OTET Provisional Answer Key 2019

Initially, the examination authority will release a provisional answer key of OTET 2019 online. Post checking the provisional answer key, candidates can compare their answers and calculate their probable marks. In case of mistakes/errors in the provisional answer key, candidates must submit their complaints against the answer key if they have documentary proof to prove the complaint against any question or answer. For challenging any answer/question, Rs. 500 per question has to be paid. The purpose of releasing OTET answer key (provisional) is to give some time for candidates to file their objections (if any) against the incorrect questions or answers. After reviewing the provisional OTET answer key 2019, the authority (expert team) will release the final answer key, only if the objections by the candidates are proved to be correct.  


OTET Final Answer Key 2019

After going through all the objections, the expert team of the Board will release OTET final answer key 2019. The decision by BSE on the final OTET 2019 answer key would be final and binding. The result of OTET 2019 will be declared based on the final answer key of OTET 2019.

OTET Result 2019

The examination authority will release the OTET result 2019 in February. Candidates scores in the result will be based on the final answer key of OTET. Through the result of OTET, candidates will be able to know their sectional and overall marks. Along with the OTET result, the authority will also release the cut off for the examination. 

OTET Cut off 2019

The cut off of OTET 2019 is the minimum marks secured by the candidates in Paper and Paper II, basis which they will be considered eligible for applying as a Primary and Upper Primary School Teacher in the state. There are two levels of OTET Cut offs – qualifying cut off and the sectional and category-wise cut off.  


About OTET

OTET is the state level examination conducted for offering eligibility certificate to the qualifying candidates as Primary School Teachers and Upper Primary School Teachers across the schools of Odisha. After getting the eligibility certificates, candidates can apply across any school in the state as Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers. Paper I is held for candidates who want to be teachers of class I to V, while Paper II is for candidates, who wish to be teachers of class VI to VIII. Candidates can also apply for both Paper I and Paper II, however, they have to fill the applications for both the papers separately. Candidates, who opt for both the papers are those who want to be teachers from class I to VIII. Board of Secondary Education Odisha also conducts OSSTET, which is a separate examination for candidates who wish to be teachers in secondary schools.
