CDS Notification 2019 - Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released the notification of CDS 2 in June 2019. The CDS notification 2019 contains the details related to important dates of application, eligibility criteria, admit card, exam, vacancy, pay scale, exam pattern etc. The authority has released a total of 417 vacancies for the admission to Commissioned Officers in Army, Navy, Air Force and Officers Training Academy (OTA). The application form of CDS (II) was available from June 12 2019. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria could fill the application form till July 8 (6 pm). All those who will fill the application form successfully will be issued the admit card ten days prior to the date of CDS examination.

While the training period of the Cadets, they receive a fixed stipend throughout their training period. After the final recruitment, Cadets are paid a remuneration based on their ranks in Indian Army and Navy. The table below contains the rank wise remuneration.

UPSC CDS Notification 2019 - Eligibility Criteria

The examination authority determines the eligibility criteria of CDS exam. It is important for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria before they fill the application form of CDS 2. The eligibility criteria is determined on the basis of age, nationality, education qualification and marital status of the candidates.

CDS Notification 2019 - Application Form

The application form of CDS 2 was released on June 12, 2019 in online mode. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of CDS were able to fill the application form. CDS 2 application form could be filled in two parts – part I and II wherein part I must be filled up with all basic details while part II involves payment of the requisite application fee, uploading of signature, photograph, selection of exam centre etc. Candidates belonging to only General and OBC candidates had to pay the application fees while female, SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.

CDS 2 Notification 2019 - Admit Card

CDS admit card will be issued to only those candidates who will fill the application form successfully within the allotted time frame. The admit card will be issued for two stages - written exam and SSB Interview, CDS 2 admit card can be downloaded by using the login credentials of the candidates. The admit card will contain the details of the candidates and exam like name of the candidate, category date of birth, date and time of exam, venue etc. It is important to bring a copy of the admit card to the exam centre on the day of examination along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport.

CDS Notification 2019 – Exam Pattern

The examination authority prescribes the CDS exam pattern for all the spiring candidates. As per the exam pattern of CDS 2, the test will be held in two stages - CDS written exam and SSB interview. The written exam of CDS for the candidates applying for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force have to appear for 3 subjects – English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics whereas for those who appear for OTA have to appear in only two subjects – English and General Knowledge. Each paper is conducted for a total of 200 marks for which candidates are given a total of 2 hours to complete the exam. For English and General Knowledge, a total of 120 questions are asked while 100 questions are for Elementary Mathematics. For each wrong response given by the candidate, 1/3rd marks will be deducted.

CDS 2 Notification - Selection Procedure

CDS 2 selection process involves 2 stages- written exam and SSB Interview. The first stage of CDS selection process is Written exam after which the qualified candidates have to appear for SSB Interview. The SSB Interview round is conducted for a total of 5 days during which the candidates have to appear for Intelligence & Personality Test and Psychological Aptitude Test All those candidates who qualify the SSB interview are eligible to take admission to Indian Army, Navy, Airforce and Offices Training Academy.

Hello student yes any graduate student or final year student can apply for cds exam as eligibility criteria says graduate from any field can apply for it.
But for navy engineering is mandatory and for airforce academy its mandatory to pass class 12 with Physics Chemistry and mathematics.

The candidates will be provided admission to INA, IMA, Air Force Academy, and Officers Training Academy through Written Examination, Personality Test and Interview.

hello aspirant,

officer training academy CDSOTA is conducted in pen and paper mood. syllabus is consist of only english and general awareness. questions are in multiple choice type. totsl 240 questions need to answer, also there is negative marking.  age shold be between 19-25. you can follow below mention books for your preparation.

When it comes to CDS, girls are only eligible for OTA  and the only eligibility is graduation in any stream from a recognized university, there's no specific aggregate required here, so whatever you wish to pursue you can, wherever your interest lies. There's no hard and fast rule if you're asking regarding choice of course specifically for CDS.

Hello student yes you're eligible as eligibility criteria says that CDS2020Eligibility Criteria:

For the Officers, Training Academy, unmarried or widowed male/female candidates must not be older than 25 years and younger than 19 years of age, as on January 2020. For theCDSII examination, the candidate must be born between July 1994 to July 1999.
