The Kerala Judiciary prelims consist of one paper holding 200 marks. The Kerala judiciary prelims exam is an objective exam with questions presented in the form of MCQs. The paper consists of 100 questions holding two marks each. One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. The Paper is divided into Part A, Part B and Part C. Each part of the exam deals with different topics. The Kerala Judicial Prelims consists of one paper holding 200 marks. According to the Kerala High Court Judiciary syllabus, the paper contains 100 questions of two marks each. For every answer attempted incorrectly, 1 mark shall be deducted. There is, however, no negative marking for unattempted answers. Candidates attempting the Kerala Judiciary Prelims will be considered successful in a ratio of 1:10.
The Kerala Judiciary Mains exam consists of two parts, a written portion and the Viva Voce. According to the Kerala Judicial Service Exam 2024 Syllabus the Written portion consists of 4 papers dealing with different law-related topics. Each paper holds 100 marks and the duration to attempt these papers is 3 hours each. As this is a subjective paper, there are no negative marks allotted to incorrect answers. Candidates will then become eligible to attend the Viva Voce. The Viva Voce holds 100 marks. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to score 40% to clear the Viva Voce. candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must score 35% to clear the VIVA Voce.
