    ITBP Recruitment 2026 - The Indo-Tibetan border police releases the ITBP 2026 recruitment notification on the official website, itbpolice.nic.in/recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. The ITBP force guards the India border from the Karakoram Pass from Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh.     The personnel will also get to learn skiing and mountaineering as part of their survival skills. The Indo Tibetan Border Police Force recruitment 2026 will be conducted throughout the year for various posts. The selection of the candidates through ITBP 2026 recruitment will be done on 5 phases. Candidates have to first appear in Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Physical Standard Test (PST), and Document verification (DV). Depending on the post, they will also have to appear in the ITBP 2026 written exam. The qualified candidates will be giving an interview which is phase 3.


    In phase 4, selected candidates have to appear in the Detailed Medical Examination (DEM) and the review of medical examination is done which is the final phase 5 of the ITBP selection process 2026. The final ITBP 2026 recruitment of the candidates is done on the basis of merit list which is available category-wise. To prepare the merit list, the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam and interview are added. ITBP is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of India which is governed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

    ITBP Recruitment 2026 - How to apply?


    To apply for the ITBP recruitment, candidates have to first generate ‘One-time Registration Id’ and password, fill the basic details, upload scanned photograph and signature. The size of the photograph must be 30 kb to 100 kb whereas the signature must be 15 kb to 30 kb. To apply for specific posts, candidates will have to select the post they want to apply for.     ITBP Recruitment 2026 - One-time Registration (OTR)

    • To generate OTR id and password, candidates have to provide email id and date of birth.

    • Candidates have to enter all the information on the Applicant sign-up page after which the registration id and password is generated.

    • They can use that id for registration after the user’s account is activated.

    ITBP Recruitment 2026 - Filling up of basic details

    • Candidates have to fill the basic details by clicking on ‘Profile Details’ button.

    • Enter details like mobile number, father’s name, mother’s name, permanent address (House No./Village, Street/Post Office/, State, District, Pincode etc), correspondence address (House No./Village, Street/Post Office/, State, District, Pincode, etc), Religion, Nationality, Educational Details, etc.

    ITBP Recruitment 2026 - Uploading digital images of photograph and signature of the candidate

    • Candidates have to upload photograph (30 kb-100 kb) and signature (5 kb-30 kb).

    • They have to pay the requisite application fee online through net banking, Credit/Debit card.

    • A postgraduate Degree in Law from recognized University or equivalent.

    • Two years experience in dealing with trails under special laws related to Armed Forces.

    • Degree in Law from recognized University or equivalent.

    • Should be qualified for enrolment as an Advocate.

    • A postgraduate Degree in Law from recognized University or equivalent.

    • One year experience in dealing with trails under special laws related to Armed Forces.

    Inspector (Hindi Translator)

    • Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Hindi or English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

    • Master’s Degree from a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi and English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory etc.

    Sub Inspector (Hindi Translator)

    Not exceeding 30 years

    • Graduation from a recognized university with Hindi as one of the main subject and English as an elective subject and working knowledge or computer application.

    Inspector (Editor)

    Between 20 to 25 years

    • Degree from a recognized University or equivalent

    Sub Inspector (Telecommunication)

    Between 20 to 25 years

    • Bachelors degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Instrumentation.
