HSSC Group D Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2018 – Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has prescribed the syllabus of HSSC Group D along with the notification on August 26, 2018. HSSC Group D syllabus and exam pattern 2018 provides details including sections, weightage and marks of the exam. HSSC group D exam was held for total 100 marks of which the written exam was conducted for 90 marks while Socio-Economic criteria and experience comprises 10 marks. The written exam was further divided into two portion – Part I and II.
HSSC Group D syllabus Part I consisted of questions from General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English and Hindi while in Part II questions are asked from History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, Culture of Haryana. HSSC Group D 2018 exam was conducted on November 10, 11, 17 and 18.

It is crucial that candidates are well informed about the exam pattern of HSSC Group D 2018. The total number of marks allotted for HSSC Group D 2018 is 100 marks. The exam will be conducted in the form of a written test comprising 90 marks. However, 10 marks will be reserved for Socio-Economic criteria and experience. As per HSSC Group D exam pattern 2018, the written exam is further divided into two parts – Part I and Part II. The complete HSSC Group D 2018 exam pattern has been provided below.
HSSC Group D Exam Pattern 2018 – Written exam
A total of 10 marks is allotted for Socio-Economic criteria and experience. Based on HSSC Group D exam pattern 2018, candidates will not be able to avail more than 10 marks in this section even if they are eligible for more marks on the basis of the mentioned conditions. The conditions on the basis of which marks will be awarded to candidates have been provided below.
Haryana Staff Selection Commission will allot 5 marks to candidates for each of the following criteria
No person from the candidates’ immediate family members including father, mother, spouse, brothers and sons is or has been regular employee in any Department/ Board/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana/ State Government/ Government of India.
If the candidate is widowed or if the first/ second child and his/her father had expired before attaining 42 years of age or the candidates is the first or second child and his/her father had died before the candidates had reached 15 years of age.
The candidate belongs to the denotified tribe (Vimukt and Tapriwas Jatis) or Nomadic tribe of Haryana that are not acknowledged as Scheduled Castes or Backward Classes.
Candidates having served under any Department/ Board/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana will be awarded 0.5 marks for each year or part thereof on the same or higher post that the candidate has applied for. However, candidates must have more than six months of experience to consider as having served a part of a year. A maximum of 16 years (8 marks) will be considered for candidates who have applied for the same.
Dear aspirant, these two stages are two completely different things. In the written stage for 90 marks, 75% questions are based on General Awareness, English, Hindi, Maths etc, while 25% questions are based on Current Affairs, History, Geography, Civics, etc. In the second stage of Socio economic criteria and experience the marks are given on the basis of various things like if the candidate is a widow, if the candidates father is no more and he/she is the 1st or 2nd child, if no one from the candidates family has ever worked for the Haryana Government, etc.
