NTA determines the UGC NET 2025 eligibility criteria in their official notification. Only candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility can fill the UGC NET application form. The candidate must not be more than 31 years old for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). However, there is no upper age limit for the post of Assistant Professor/Lecturer to attempt the UGC NET exam.

Applicants securing at least 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category) in their Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Humanities (including languages), Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible to fill the UGC NET application form 2025.

• NET/SET/SLAT qualified candidates.

• Open the UGC NET official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in

• Click on the UGC NET 2025 registration link available on the homepage

• Fill out the online UGC NET registration form 2025 with basic details like personal and contact.

• Choose the password and click the submit button.

• After the completion of the UGC NET 2025 registration form, the registration number will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number and email ID.

The NTA opened the facility to make corrections in the UGC NET application form 2025 in online mode from November 10 to 12, 2025 on the official website. Candidates can check the below-given steps to make corrections in the UGC NET application form 2025.

• Go to the UGC NET official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

• Click on the UGC NET application form correction link given on the homepage.

• On the NTA UGC NET 2025 login page, enter your application number and password.

• Read all the instructions and click on the “I Agree” checkbox.

• Next, click on the “Proceed to application form” link.

• Do all the required/necessary changes in the application form.

• Review all the corrections made in the UGC NET 2025 application form.

• Click on the “Final Submit” button.

• Download and take a printout of the revised confirmation page of the UGC NET application form.
