UGC NET Admit Card 2020 - National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the UGC NET admit card 2020 for the exam scheduled to be held on November 4, 5, 11, 12 and 13, 2020. Earlier, NTA had released the UGC NET 2020 admit card for June session on its official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in for the exam that was conducted on September 24, 25, 29, 30 and October 1, 9 and 17. On the official website, candidates will get to see a tab stating "Download UGC NET admit card." To download the admit card of UGC NET 2020, candidates will have to log in using their credentials - application number and date of birth. After downloading the UGC NET admit card 2020, candidates must check all the information that is mentioned on it. If they find any discrepancy, then they must get it rectified at the earliest. Candidates appearing for UGC NET 2020 June session must carry the printout of their hall ticket along with a valid photo ID (Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport). Also the exam conducting body has laid down the items which the candidates are permitted to carry such as a sanitiser since the exam is being conducted amidst COVID 19. Wrong Credentials - Candidates must make sure that the credentials they enter are correct. In case they forget it, they can check their email inbox where they would have received the credentials during the registration process.

UGC NET 2020 - Instructions to be followed due to COVID 19
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, candidates who will appear for the UGC NET 2020 exam for the June session , they are required to follow certain guidelines:
Reach the exam centre before scheduled time
In the UGC NET 2020 admit card it has been mentioned that candidates must reach the test centre at least one and half hours before the commencement of the entrance exam as they will have to undergo mandatory checking at the test centre.
Sign the self- declaration form
Along with the UGC NET 2020 hall ticket, there is a self-declaration form wherein candidates have to mention that they do not have any symptoms pertaining to COVID 19. Candidates are required to affix their picture and put in their signature at the appropriate place on the self-declaration form.
Frisking at the UGC NET exam centre
It has been mentioned in the UGC NET admit card 2020, that the candidates will be frisked only by using the metal deductor.
Preparations at the Test Centre of UGC NET 2020
It has been mentioned in the UGC NET admit card 2020 that before the commencement of each shift, that the seating area, mouse, computer screen, desk and chair everything will be thoroughly sanitised.
Gap between two seats
In order to ensure adequate social distancing in the examination hall, there will be adequate gap between two seats. Moreover, the candidates will have to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet between each other.
Rough Sheets to be provided beforehand
With an aim to avoid touch, at least five rough sheets will be kept on the desk of the candidate before the commencement of the exam. The invigilators will be wearing gloves in order to ensure complete hygiene.

With an aim to follow the standard operating procedure, candidates will be required to get the bar code on the admit card of UGC NET 2020 scanned. At the time of entry to the test centre of UGC NET 2020, the temperature of the candidate will be measured by using a thermal gun.
Guidelines to be followed after the conclusion of the exam
Once the exam ends, candidates must not rush and ensure that they maintain adequate distance between each other. They should not leave their seats till they are instructed by the invigilator to do do so.
UGC NET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
NTA UGC NET Hall ticket 2020 must be printed in colour/black and white mode on an A4 size paper.
Candidates must avoid tampering with the details provided in their UGC NET 2020 hall ticket.
The admit card of UGC NET 2020 does not necessarily mean that the candidate is eligible to be selected in the exam, candidates might be rejected at any stage of the exam process if they do not abide by the criteria.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam before the exam ends.
If candidates have to make calculations and rough work they must do it in a rough sheet (pen and pencil will also be given) provided at the centre. After completion of the exam candidates will have to return the rough sheets to the invigilator.
Avoid getting involved in unfair means, if a candidate is found so their candidature will be cancelled and they will be debarred from taking the exam.
UGC NET Exam Centres 2020
The cities where the UGC NET 2020 exam will be conducted are refereed to as the UGC NET 2020 exam centres. The exact address of the UGC NET 2020 exam centre will be mentioned on the UGC NET hall ticket. Due to COVID 19, candidates were given an opportunity to change the test city. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken all possible steps to ensure that the candidates do not have to travel a long distance to appear for the UGC NET 2020 exam.
UGC NET Exam Pattern 2020
Candidates must go through UGC NET 2020 exam pattern before appearing for the exam. The exam pattern contains the name of the sections from where the questions will be asked in the exam, total number of questions, duration, marking scheme etc. As per the exam pattern. the test will be held for two papers. UGC NET 2020 exam for June session will be conducted for 81 subjects in multiple shifts. Approximately 10 lac+ candidates are expected to participate in the exam. The new date for the exam is September 24. Previously the exam was supposed to be held from June 15 to 20, 2020 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and then from September 16-18 and from September 21-25. NTA will announce the UGC NET 2020 result soon after the exam. UGC NET is conducted twice a year (June and December) to determine the eligibility of candidates as Assistant Professors and to award Junior Research Fellowship (JFR).The exam pattern for both paper I and II of UGC NET exam is available in the table below.

The eligibility of ugc net says that students must select the test for the subject that they have studied in their post graduation. So first you need to do post graduation, undergraduates are not eligible for ugc net. So if you complete your post graduation in civil engineering, (you would get various subjects to choose from : Chemical Science, Earth Science, Life Science, Mathematical Science, Physical Science etc.) Then you will be eligible for ugc net.

As per required UGC NET 2020 education qualification, candidates possessing a post-graduate degree with 55% marks are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates should not be more than 30 years in age for JRF but there is no age restriction to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.
Eligibility criteria for UGC net exam is
- Master’s Degree holders with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates) can register for the exam.
- Students in the final year of the master’s program or waiting for its result can also apply for the exam.
- Ph.D. degree holders who completed their master’s degree before September 19, 1991 will be given a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
- Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age as on June 1, 2020 to apply for Junior Research Fellowship.
- SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Transgender and Women candidates are given an age relaxation of up to 5 years.

A candidate is eligible for appearing for UGC NET only if :-
- You must have completed your post graduation in any stream with an aggregate of 55% without rounding off.
- You should not be more than 30 years in age for JRF but there is no age restriction to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.
- 50% aggregate marks (without rounding off) in master’s degree or equivalent degree for all 81 subjects - for ST/SC/OBC/ PWD/Transgender candidates.
You can apply for the NTA NET Exam only for the subject in which you have completed your master’s degree/equivalent.But in case, the subject is not on the list, you may apply for the related subject.
