The cut off of IBPS SO 2017 is decided by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to delimit only certain number of candidates for next round of selection procedure. Based on the marks secured by candidates in IBPS SO 2017 online test, the examination authority will issue call letters to more than 3 times the total available vacancies for interview round. IBPS SO 2017 cut off is the benchmark to pick the most deserving candidates for next round of recruitment process. The process of normalisation will be adopted while calculating IBPS SO cut off 2017. The marks secured by candidates in online test and interview will be normalised to 100. The allotment of participating banks and Specialist Officers posts will be done strictly on the basis of candidates’ preference and normalised score. How to calculate IBPS SO Cut off 2017

 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will adopt following procedure while calculating IBPS SO 2017 cut off.

Scores: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

 

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online IBPS SO CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in IBPS SO CWE (SPL-V) and Interview. A candidate should qualify both in the IBPS SO 2017 CWE & interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent allotment process

 

Cut off Score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score, as explained below to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies cut off will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview

  • Mean – 3/4th of standard deviation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories

  • Mean – 1/4th of standard deviation for General Category

  • There will be a second level cut off point on total as per requirement

IBPS SO 2017 cut off score: The IBPS SO cut off 2017 declares along with the declaration of IBPS SO result. Based on the cut off score, banks will be allotted to candidates as per their ranks in merit list and preference.

 

Previous Year IBPS SO Cut off Score - Maximum Score out of 100 included written & interview - The examination authority adopts the process of normalisation to calculate candidates’ marks out 100. IBPS SO Cut off Score for Provisional Allotment: It is the marks at which allotment process ends which mean the minimum marks must be scored by in order to get allotment of Specialist Officers post. The IBPS SO cut off score for provisional allotment is calculated out of 100 and eliminating inter-se-merit (ties) on the basis of date of birth.
