UGC NET Cut off 2019 - National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the cut off of UGC NET 2019 along with the declaration of result. UGC NET cut off 2019 is the minimum marks determined by the examination authority to shortlist the qualified candidates. The cut off of UGC NET 2019 will be released separately to shortlist the candidates for both Lecturership (NET) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) (NET) and for Lectureship only. Candidates must score equal to or more than the minimum cut off of UGC NET 2019. All those candidates who score UGC NET cut off 2019 will be considered qualified.

UGC NET 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2019. The exam will be conducted for two papers - Paper I and II. The exam of UGC NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Lecturers and for awarding JRF.

The examination authority determines the cut off of UGC NET 2019 taking the following factors into consideration:
Total number of candidates appeared for the test
Total number of vacancies
Difficulty level of the question paper
The examination authority determined the cut off of UGC NET in the form of minimum qualifying marks and subject wise overall (taking both paper I and II) cut off on the basis of the category of the candidates. Both the qualifying marks and UGC NET cut off has been explained below:
The exam authority has determined a minimum marks that must be scored by the candidates to pass the examination. Candidates have to secure qualifying marks in two papers of UGC NET in order to get shortlisted for JRF or Assistant Professorship. The table below shows category wise

Apart from securing a minimum qualifying marks, candidates must also score the minimum cut off of UGC NET 2019. Only those candidates will be considered qualified who score the minimum cut off of UGC NET 2019. The authority will release the category wise cut off marks for each subject for which the candidates will appear.
The examination authority will shortlist 6% of candidates in each subject to prepare merit list in order to determine the eligibility of Assistant Professor and JRF.
A separate merit list will be prepared for UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) qualified candidates after considering their eligibility in terms of age.
