Selection Process of IBPS PO 2024 Preliminary Exam

The IBPS PO 2024 prelims exam is the first stage of the IBPS PO selection process 2024. Candidates need to secure IBPS PO prelims cut off 2024 to pass at this stage. There will be 100 questions from three different sections that are quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, and English language. Students need to solve multiple-choice questions in one hour.

Selection Process of IBPS PO 2024 Exam Main Stage

IBPS PO 2024 main exam is the second stage of the IBPS PO selection process 2024. Those who qualify in the prelims will be eligible to appear for the IBPS PO main exam 2024. As per the IBPS PO exam pattern 2024, candidates need to solve both the multiple-choice and descriptive type questions from four different sections that are English language, data interpretation and analysis, reasoning and computer awareness, general/ banking, and economic awareness. The descriptive paper has only 2 questions i.e. essay and letter writing. It will carry 25 marks and 30 minutes to attempt the section.

IBPS PO 2024 Selection Process - Interview

According to the IBPS PO selection process 2024, the IBPS PO interview is the third and final round. Candidates are advised to keep themselves aware of all the current affairs to pass this stage. The interview round will carry 100 marks in total and will be conducted in offline mode, that is face-to-face interaction with the candidates. Applicants need to have good communication skills

IBPS PO Final Merit List

The authorities will issue the final merit list after all of the tests in the IBPS PO selection process have been completed. The final merit list for IBPS PO will be compiled based on the candidates' performance in the mains and interview rounds. Following that, all candidates whose names appear on the final merit list will be sent an appointment letter with the day, time, and branch for joining.

IBPS PO Provisional Allotment 2024

Candidates qualifying all the stages of the common recruitment process for IBPS PO and fulfilling the eligibility criteria in all aspects will be provisionally allotted in participating banks.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be provisionally assigned to vacancies reported by participating organizations based on merit-cum-preference.

  • Tie Breaking: If two or more candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be ranked higher than the younger candidate.

  • While making the allotment, the Government of India's reservation policy and other rules and regulations, as well as administrative necessities, shall be observed.

  • The provisional allotment is contingent on the candidate meeting the participating organization criteria and having their identity verified to the satisfaction of the assigned organization.

  • No requests for changes will be considered because the provisional distribution is provided to participating organizations based on merit cum desire.

  • Furthermore, if a candidate who has been provisionally assigned does not accept the Participating Organization's offer of employment, his candidature will be cancelled.

  • The participating organizations' decision to issue an offer of appointment, including terms and conditions, requirements for verification, joining, and so on, is final and binding.

  • Depending on candidate availability, a reserve list of up to 10% of the openings in each category may be created.

IBPS PO eligibility criteria for PWD category - According to the government of india norms, people with benchmark disability are eligible for reservation under section -34 of "The Rights of person with disabilities act ,2016" and the categories of disabilities eligible for reservation as per the act are mentioned below-

1.Deaf and hard of hearing.

2.Blindness and low vision.

3.Mental illness, autism, specific learning disability, intellectual disability and locomotor disability which includes palsy ,dwarfism, muscular dystrophy and acid attack victims.

4.People having benchmark disabilities will be assigned with the reserved vacancies as per the "Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016".

The age of candidates wishing to appear in SBI/IBPS PO should be between 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2022. For example, for SBI/IBPS PO, the official advertisement said that candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2000 and not earlier than 02.04.1991. However, there is also a provision for age relaxation for certain categories of aspirants which are as follows-

  • SC/ST- 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)- 3 years
  • PWD (SC/ ST)- 15 years
  • PWD (OBC)- 13 years
  • PWD (Gen/ EWS)- 10 years
