SBI PO 2025 Exam - Application Form (Closed), Vacancies, Eligibility, Syllabus

State Bank of India will soon issue the SBI PO mains admit card 2025 on the official website at sbi.co.in. To download the SBI Probationary Officer admit card, candidates are required to enter their login credentials - Registration No / Roll No and Password / DOB. Previously, the SBI PO 2025 admit card for prelims was released in online mode on July 25, 2025. 

Aspirants who submit the SBI PO 2025 application form exam are issued the admit card. Aspirants have to carry the admit card to appear in the SI PO exam. The admit card consists of crucial information like exam centre details, candidate name, roll number, exam time and date and more. 

Candidates appearing for the exam need to carry the PO 2025 admit card along with an original valid photo ID card on the day of the exam. The list of photo ID proofs includes Voter Card, Bank Passbook, Passport, PAN Card, Driving License and Aadhaar Card.

The State Bank of India mentioned the SBI PO 2025 eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the exam. The SBI PO eligibility criteria 2025 is mentioned in the official notification. Interested candidates must go through the detailed PO 2025 eligibility criteria in detail, failing to do so, their candidature will get rejected. The SBI PO 2025 eligibility criteria consist of the academic qualification, age limit, nationality and other criterias.

To appear in the SBI PO 2025 exam, candidates must be an Indian. 

Age (As on April 1, 2025)

• Lower age limit - 21

• Upper age limit - 30

However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories have been given certain relaxations in the age limit for SBI PO 2025.

Education Qualification

To be eligible for SBI PO 2025, candidates must hold the following qualifications:

• Must be a graduate or have passed an equivalent examination from a recognized University or by the Central Government in order to meet the eligibility criteria of SBI PO.

• Final semester candidates can also apply for SBI PO 2025 provided they produce their proof of passing the graduation at the time of document verification or as on the date mentioned by the examination authority in the SBI PO notification 2025.

• Candidates holding an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before August 31, 2025. CA candidates are also eligible for SBI PO apply.

The State Bank of India released the application form of SBI PO exam 2025 on June 24, 2025 at sbi.co.in. The SBI PO application form last date 2025 was July 14, 2025. Candidates preparing for the exam had to fill the SBI PO 2025 application form by going to their official website.

The State Bank of India mentioned the SBI PO 2025 exam pattern in its official notification for the candidates who are planning to appear. The SBI PO exam is one the most competitive exams in India as it is based on graduation level. 

The exam pattern for SBI PO will help aspirants know about the scheme and mode of exam, structure of question paper and weightage of topics. Aspirants preparing for the SBI PO must go through the SBI PO exam pattern in detail or else their preparations will be incomplete. SBI PO exam is conducted in three phases: prelims, mains and interview.

SBI PO prelims exam is conducted for a total of 100 questions from English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability which are to be attempted in 1 hour in online mode. English has 30 questions while quantitative aptitude and reasoning Ability has 35 questions each. Each section has a sectional time limit of 20 minutes to attempt the questions. As per the SBI PO marking scheme, for each correct response, candidates get 1 mark, while for each wrong response, one fourth marks are deducted.

SBI PO mains exam 2025 is an objective test with one descriptive test (English letter writing and essay). The objective test has four sections namely Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. 

The objective paper has to be attempted in online mode wherein 155 questions have to be attempted in 3 hours. The SBI PO descriptive test has to be completed in 30 minutes wherein candidates have 2 questions for 50 marks to answer. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude and Data Analysis and Interpretation of the objective test carry 60 marks each, while General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language have 40 marks each. 

Candidates have to complete Reasoning & Computer Aptitude in 60 minutes, Data Analysis and Interpretation in 45 minutes, General/Economy/Banking Awareness in 35 minutes and English in 40 minutes. The SBI PO objective test has negative marking wherein for each incorrect answer 1/4th or 0.25 marks will be deducted.

• Be familiar with the SBI PO exam syllabus and exam pattern of SBI PO. 

• Divide the SBI PO syllabus as per the time left for the exam. 

• Get the best books to prepare and decide your daily target for study. Meet the daily and monthly targets. 

• Take a lot of mock tests and practice ample sample papers and previous years question papers of SBI PO. 

• Make short notes while preparing. Use these short notes during revision. 

• Keep some days for revision. Make use of these short notes to revise the entire syllabus again. 

• Do not take any new topic or chapter during the last lap of the preparation.  

The State Bank of India does not release the official answer key of the SBI PO exam as the exam is conducted in online mode. However, candidates can download SBI PO 2025 prelims and mains answer key provided by the leading coaching institutes. The answer key will have all the correct answers to the questions asked in the SBI PO exam 2025. 

The  SBI PO answer key 2025 will help candidates to calculate and spectate the marks they will get in the exam. The exam conducting authority will release the SBI PO answer key stage-wise for  prelims and mains. The State Bank of India has released the SBI PO final result 2025 on December 19, 2025 on the offiicial website at sbi.bank.in. SBI PO Mains result on November 6, 2025 on the official website at sbi.co.in. The SBI PO 2025 result contains the roll numbers of all qualified candidates in the examination. The SBI PO prelims result 2025 was released September 1, 2025. The SBI PO result is be released stage-wise for preliminary, mains and final stages after conducting the interview/personal interview. 

Only those candidates who score marks equal to or more than the minimum cut off will be promoted to the next stage of the SBI PO 2025. A few days after releasing the PO 2025 result, SBI will release the scorecard which candidates can access by using their credentials such as registration/roll number and password/date of birth.

SBI PO prelims result will be released in online mode and can be checked by entering the roll number and date of birth or registration number and date of birth in the result portal. Alongside the result of SBI PO prelims 2025, candidates get their score card which reflects marks secured by them out of 100, the category-wise cut off, and their qualifying status for Mains exam. 

SBI PO Main result 2025 will be declared in online mode. Candidates have to secure the sectional and the overall cut off score in SBI PO main exam in order to be eligible for Group Exercise and Interview. For preparing the final result of SBI PO, the marks of candidates in mains exam are considered.

The cut off is the minimum marks aspirants must score in order to qualify for the next stage of the SBI PO 2025 selection procedure. The cut off is different for preliminary, mains, Group Exercise and Interview and is released separately for all these stages of SBI PO. 

It's mandatory for candidates that they secure the overall SBI PO 2025 cut off, category-wise cut off and the individual cut off for each subject of the prelims and mains stage to get recruited. SBI will decide the final SBI PO cut off 2025 based on candidates marks in the main exam and Group Exercise and Interview.

SBI PO preliminary exam cut off will be  released category-wise. Candidates must secure the category-wise and overall cut off of SBI PO. In the cut off of SBI PO prelims, name of the subjects, total marks of each section, minimum qualifying marks (category-wise) and marks secured by candidates, total marks secured and the qualifying status of the candidate is found. Qualifying in SBI PO 2025 prelims means that candidates are eligible for appearing in mains exam.

In order to be considered qualified in the SBI PO mains exam, candidates need to obtain sectional and overall cut off of SBI PO. The cut off of SBI PO mains 2025 exam will be released alongside the release of the scorecard. SBI PO main cut off will be prepared on the basis of marks in the online objective test and the descriptive test. The PO 2025 cut off for main exam will be calculated out of 250 marks. Securing the SBI PO mains cut off means that candidates are eligible for Group Exercise and Interview.

The selection procedure for the SBI PO exam includes qualifying the prelims, mains, Group Exercise and Interview. Candidates qualifying in all these stages of the SBI PO recruitment 2025 will be considered for finally getting recruited for the post of Probationary Officer.

Selected candidates will be trained in basic banking knowledge through an online course. This course has to be mandatorily completed by all selected candidates before joining. Candidates will also have to execute a Bond worth Rs 2.00 lakh at the time of joining. Executing the bond means that you agree to serve the SBI Bank for a minimum of three years. 

Candidates will be designated as Probationary Officers for 2 years at the time of joining. Continuous assessment of the candidates will be done during the probation period. Candidates qualifying the assessment are confirmed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Candidates who perform exceptionally well as per the assessment, are considered for direct placement at the next higher grade - Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II).
