RBI Officer Grade B 2018 - Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared the final result for the post of General, DEPR and DSIM on February 20, 2019, in the form of pdf. RBI Officer Grade B 2018 result contains the roll numbers of all the qualifying candidates. The final merit list of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 has been prepared by adding marks secured in Phase II and Interview round. All the shortlisted candidates will be recruited as RBI Officer in Grade B as per the post they have applied for. Earlier, the RBI Officer Grade B 2018 result of Phase - II for the post of DEPR and DSIM was announced on October 25 in the form of pdf whereas the result for General was released on October 8.
The exam conducting authority had announced as many as 166 vacancies for the post of RBI Officers Grade B General, DEPR and DSIM for the year 2018. The examination for RBI Officer Grade B 2018 is conducted in two phases - I and II followed by Interview for General and paper I, II and III.

RBI Officer Grade B final result has been announced on February 20, 2019, for all the three posts. The result has been declared in the form of pdf containing the roll numbers of the qualified candidates. A merit list has been prepared by RBI. The final result has been prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in phase-II of the exam (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview. The result of RBI Officer Grade B Phase II for DEPR and DSIM was declared on October 25 whereas the result for General was announced on October 8, 2018, in the form of PDF. Based on the results of Phase-II examinations candidates were shortlisted for Interview round.
RBI had sent the RBI Officer Grade B Interview call letter for appearing in the interview process. Earlier, it had released the admit card of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 phase II exam on September 6. The candidates have to download separate admit cards for both the shifts -morning and afternoon. RBI Officer Grade B admit card can be accessed by entering their roll number/registration number and date of birth/password in the login window. Candidates have to produce in original the photo identity proof and submit a photocopy of the photo identity proof along with admit card while appearing for the exam.
The cut off for RBI Grade B 2018 was released for phase I exam for the general department. The table below contains the category wise sectional cut off of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 (general) for the exam conducted on August 16.

RBI Officer Grade B Phase-I General: The phase I examination for General had 200 objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There were four subjects in Phase-I such as General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning carrying 200 questions to be completed within 2 hours duration.
RBI Officer Grade B Paper-I DEPR/DSIM:
RBI Officer Grade B Phase-II General: Second phase of RBI officer Grade B examination will consist of three papers for 300 marks to be completed in 3 hours. For incorrect answers, 1/4th of the marks will be deducted.
RBI Officer Grade B Phase-II DEPR/DSIM:

Paper II– Economic and Social Issues
Paper III- Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics)
RBI Officer Grade B Interview round: After selection candidates have to sit for the interview round 50 marks. Candidate can take the interview either in Hindi or English language.
The application form of RBI Officer Grade 'B' for all departments - General, DEPR, and DSIM was available from July 3 to 23. Candidates applying for the exam should have ensured that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions before filling the application form. The application process of RBI Grade B 2018 included multiple steps such as personal details, selection of exam centres, uploading of photograph and signature and fee payment. Candidates should not upload any document or certificates related to age, educational qualification and physical disability.
As per the eligibility of RBI Officer Grade B, candidates must be in between 21 to 30 years of age. For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively. Final selection of candidates will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured in Phase II and Interview round. To be eligible for RBI Grade B 2018 candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions as prescribed by RBI:
Must be a citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan
Must be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 who has the intention of settling permanently in India.
A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age limit: Candidates must be between 21 years and 30 years to apply for RBI Officer Grade B 2018.
Number of Attempts: The maximum number of attempts (applicable for candidates belonging to Unreserved/General Category) is 6. No restrictions are applicable for reserved categories.
Selection for RBI Officer Grade B is done through written examinations and interview round. To get shortlisted candidates must appear in all the papers. Only successful candidates in Phase I were able to appear for Phase-II examination. Based on the results of Phase II examinations candidates were shortlisted for interview. Final selection is done through merit lists which is prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper I + Paper II + Paper III) and Interview.
RBI has released the list exam centres of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 exam for both phases I and II. Candidates must select only one centre for Phase I and one centre for Phase–II separately during online application form fill up. Preferences of exam centres by candidates for Phase-I and Phase-II examinations can be different or same. The allotment of exam centres will be on "first-apply-first allot" basis depending on the availability of seats in a particular centre.
