IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2022: The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) conducts the Specialist Officers (SO) exam on a national level. IBPS SO Preliminary Exam 2022
The preliminary exam is the first stage of the IBPS SO selection process 2022. Candidates who successfully submit their IBPS SO application form will be eligible to appear for the preliminary stage. The preliminary stage is conducted in online mode and there are a total of 150 questions asked in the exam. The total marks are 125 with time duration of 40 minutes. The questions will be asked from four subjects - Reasoning, English language, General awareness with special reference to banking industry. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary stage will be eligible to appear in the mains stage.

IBPS SO Mains Exam 2022
The mains stage is the second phase of the IBPS SO exam. The mains stage is conducted for two posts - Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari. For law officers and other posts, there will be 60 questions of 60 marks from Professional Knowledge with time duration of 45 minutes. For Rajbhasha Adhikari, the questions will be from 45 questions from Professional Knowledge (Objective) of 60 marks and 2 questions from Professional Knowledge (Descriptive).

Candidates who qualify in each stage of the IBPS SO 2022 selection process will be eligible to appear in the interview process. The interview will be conducted in offline mode, post qualifying the interview stage the final merit list will be made and the candidates who qualify in the interview will be recruited on the vacant posts. It is important for candidates to perform exceptionally well in the Interview Process as the candidate's final selection will be based on how they perform in the interview.

You are not eligible to appear for IBPS SPECIALIST OFFICERS recruitment for the post of HR/Personnel Officer. The Education Qualification requirement for the post is that you must have passed Graduation and Two Years Full time Post Graduate degree or Two Years Full time Post Graduate diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR / HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law from a recognized board.
As you do not have the required Educational Qualification you are not eligible to apply for IPBS SPECIALIST OFFICERS recruitment.

Nationality:

Candidates must be a citizen of India, or

A subject of Bhutan, Nepal or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India prior to January 1, 1962 with an intention to settle permanently/a person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, Zambia Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with an intention of settling permanently India, provided they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age limit:

Lower Age Limit - 20 years

However there are certain relaxations given to reserved category candidates:
- OBC (Non- Creamy layer): 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- PWD: 10 Years

Firstly the official notification of IBPS Specialist Officer of this year is yet to come, it's being expected to get released by this month, though it's a tentative schedule, the eligibility criteria for a law officer is passed bachelor's degree in law from a university recognized by Bar Council of India, and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council, the age limit is between 20 to 30 years, once the official notification gets released we will have the exact date by which the appearing candidates must have completed his/her educational qualifications, hence if your results get declared by that prescribed time period, you can become eligible to apply, it's essential for candidates who qualify prelims, mains to show the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of interview in the form of original documents along with its photocopies.
