IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Preliminary
The preliminary exam is the first stage in the selection procedure of IBPS SO 2018. Candidates who filled the application form successfully were able to appear in the preliminary exam. As per IBPS SO selection procedure 2018, the prelims exam was conducted on December 29 and 30. Candidates must qualify in the prelims exam to appear in the mains exam of IBPS SO 2018. The prelims exam of IBPS SO will be conducted for the post of Law Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer.
IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Prelims exam pattern
The prelims exam of IBPS SO 2018 contained a total of 150 questions from three sections - English Language, Reasoning and General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry.
Each section contained 50 questions each.
The exam was conducted for a total of 125 marks for which candidates will be given 120 minutes.
To qualify IBPS SO 2018 prelims exam, candidates must score category-wise minimum cut off marks determined by the examination authority.
All those candidates who qualify in the prelims exam of IBPS SO will have to further appear for the next stage of the selection procedure - mains exam.
It must be remembered by the candidates that the prelims exam of IBPS SO is of qualifying in nature only and the marks obtained by the candidates will not be considered while preparing the final list.
IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Mains
The second stage in the selection procedure of IBPS SO 2018 is the mains exam. Only those candidates will be able to appear for the mains exam of IBPS SO who will qualify the prelims. According to the IBPS SO selection procedure 2018, the mains exam will be conducted to test the professional knowledge of the candidates.

Mains exam of IBPS SO will be held in online mode for a total of 60 objective questions of 1 mark each.
For the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari, the examination authority will conduct both objective and descriptive test consisting of 45 questions and 2 questions respectively.
The mains exam of IBPS SO for the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari will be held for a total of 60 marks for which the candidates will be given 60 minutes.
To qualify the mains examination, candidates must score the category-wise cut off marks determined by the examination authority. Along with scoring the minimum cut off marks, candidates must also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered for being shortlisted for interview. While preparing the final merit list, the marks obtained by the candidates in the mains exam will be considered.
IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Interview
According to the selection procedure of IBPS SO, all those candidates who qualify in the mains exam will have to appear in the interview. The interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. Candidates must score at least 40% in order to qualify in the interview (35% marks in case of reserved category). The weightage given to the marks of the Mains exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively. The final score of IBPS SO 2018 exam will be calculated on the basis of total score obtained by the candidates in online mains exam and Interview
IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Documents Verification
Documents verification is an important stage in the selection process of IBPS SO 2018. Candidates appearing for the interview must carry the prescribed documents for verification. Once the verification is done, candidates will be shortlisted for the provisional allotment.
IBPS SO Selection Procedure 2018 - Provisional Allotment
Candidates will be provided provisional allotment based on the merit-cum-preference basis. As per IBPS SO selection procedure 2018, the provisional allotment will be done on the basis of vacancies announced by the Participating Organizations.

To be eligible for IBPS PO, you need to be a graduate in any stream. You should have completed your Graduation in any stream from a recognised University. There is no specific discipline that you should be completing your Graduation in. It can be BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech, etc. You should have computer proficiency.
