Stage 1: UPSC Geoscientist Prelims exam- (Objective type) carrying a maximum of 400 marks (Paper 1 -100 marks and Paper 2 - 300 marks, each paper with a duration of 2 Hours)
Stage 2: UPSC Geoscientist Mains exam -(Descriptive type), carrying a maximum of 600 marks with all three papers allotted 300 marks each, with a duration of 3 Hours
Stage 3: Personality test - carrying 200 marks
