    The conducting authority will release the UPSC Geoscientist 2027 exam pattern in the official notification on its website, under the heading “Plan of Examination”.The Geo-Scientist exam is conducted in three stages as outlined below.

    • Stage 1: UPSC Geoscientist Prelims exam- (Objective type) carrying a maximum of 400 marks (Paper 1 -100 marks and Paper 2 - 300 marks, each paper with a duration of 2 Hours)

    • Stage 2: UPSC Geoscientist Mains exam -(Descriptive type), carrying a maximum of 600 marks with all three papers allotted 300 marks each, with a duration of 3 Hours

    • Stage 3: Personality test - carrying 200 marks
