    Union Public Service Commission is in charge of conducting the UPSC Geoscientist exam, which includes three stage national level selection process.     The conducting authority will release the UPSC Geoscientist 2027 exam pattern in the official notification on its website, under the heading “Plan of Examination”.The Geo-Scientist exam is conducted in three stages as outlined below.

    • Stage 1: UPSC Geoscientist Prelims exam- (Objective type) carrying a maximum of 400 marks (Paper 1 -100 marks and Paper 2 - 300 marks, each paper with a duration of 2 Hours)

    • Stage 2: UPSC Geoscientist Mains exam -(Descriptive type), carrying a maximum of 600 marks with all three papers allotted 300 marks each, with a duration of 3 Hours

    • Stage 3: Personality test - carrying 200 marks
