UPTET 2026

Aspirants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Education are eligible to apply for the UP TET exam 2026. Aspirants who are eligible to appear for the exam must register themselves first, and then they can apply for the UPTET 2026.

UPBEB conducts the UPTET exam to test the candidates' teaching eligibility for Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 8 under the UP Government. The UP TET 2026 exam is conducted for two papers in offline mode for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Paper 1 is conducted for teachers who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 teachers and Paper 2 is conducted for Class 6 to 8 teachers.

Before filling up the application form, aspirants must check the UPTET 2026 eligibility criteria. The exam authority determines the eligibility criteria of UPTET 2026 based on age and educational qualification. The UPTET eligibility criteria are detailed as follows.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

  • Aspirants must be a Graduate (B.A., B.Com., B.B.A., B.Sc., B.Tech., B.C.A.) in any discipline with at least 50% marks from any recognised University.

UPTET Application Form 2026

UPBEB will release the UPTET 2026 application form in online mode on the official website. Candidates have to fill out the UPTET application form along with the payment of the appropriate application fees. Candidates are required to submi the UPTET application form within the prescribed time. The application must pay the application fee of Rs 600 for General while reserved category candidates are need to pay Rs 400 for reserved category candidates.

UPTET Exam Pattern 2026

For all candidates, the examination authority prescribes the UPTET 2026 exam pattern, which contains information related to the sections from which questions will be asked in the exam, the total number of questions, exam duration, marking schemes, etc. According to the UPTET 2026 test pattern, the test will be taken in the following stages.

UPTET Exam Pattern - Stages

  • Paper I (Primary Stage for Class 1 to 5)

  • Paper II (Elementary Stage for Class 6 to 8)

UPTET 2026 Exam Pattern - Paper I (Primary Stage)

A total of 150 questions are allocated for the UPTET 2026 exam Paper I. Questions from five parts, comprising 30 questions each, will be asked in the UPTET 2026 Paper I exam. There will be 1 mark allotted for every question. Each segment has 30 questions, each with 1 mark. For any wrong answers provided by candidates, no marks are deducted.

UPTET 2026 Exam Pattern - Paper II (Elementary Stage)

UPTET Paper II contains questions from four sections - Language I, Language II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher only) and Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher only). The UPTET 2026 exam will be conducted for a total of 150 marks.

UPTET Syllabus 2026

The exam conducting body prescribes the UPTET 2026 syllabus so that aspirants will be well aware of the topics and subjects from which questions are asked. It will enable candidates to draw a clear-cut preparation strategy so that they know how much time they will be required to devote to each section. UPTET syllabus includes topics and sub-topics from (i) Child Development & Pedagogy (ii) Mathematics (iii) Language (iv) Environmental Studies.

UPTET Paper 1 Syllabus

UPTET 2026 syllabus for Paper 1 comprises five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, Science/ Social Studies and Environmental Science. The syllabus of UPTET 2026 is based on the topics given in the NCERT books of class 1 to 5.

UPTET Paper 2 Syllabus

The syllabus of UPTET Paper 2 2026 comprises five sections: Child Development, Learning Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics/ Science or Social Studies. The questions standard in UPTET Paper 2 is according to the topics given by NCERT in Class 6 to 8 books.

UPTET Admit Card 2026

The UPTET 2026 admit card is released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board in online mode on the official website. Aspirants must use their registration number and password to download the UPTET 2026 admit card. Relevant details of candidates and exams must be available on the UPTET admit card.

Candidates need to carry UPTET 2026 admit cards to the exam centres on the exam day. Applicants must carry one of the specified photo identity proofs along with the admit card such as an Aadhar card, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID card, Passport, etc. Aspirants will not be able to appear for the UPTET 2026 exam without the UPTET admit card 2026.

UPTET Answer Key 2026

The answer key of UPTET 2026 will be released on the official website. UPTET 2026 provisional answer key will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) in PDF format on the official website. Candidates can challenge the UPTET 2026 provisional answer key for a certain time period.

The answer key will be released for all sets - Set A, Set B, Set C & Set D. The UPTET 2026 answer key will be published for both papers - Paper I & Paper II. Candidates can measure their scores and estimate the chances of qualifying for the UPTET 2026 exam by going through the answer key.

UPTET Question Papers 2026

After successful completion of the examination, aspirants will be able to get the UPTET 2026 question papers because the test is conducted in offline mode. A few days after the end of the exam, aspirants will be able to download the question papers of UPTET 2026 from the official website - updeled.gov.in.

UPTET Result 2026

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) declares the UPTET 2026 result online mode on the official website. The UPTET 2026 result will be announced for both papers - Paper I & Paper II. Aspirants must use their roll number and password to download the result. UPTET result 2026 includes name, roll number, total marks secured in each subject, overall marks and qualifying status of the candidates. Only aspirants who have secured the minimum qualifying marks will be considered worthy.

UPTET Cut Off 2026

To issue the certificate to the candidates, the exam authorities will consider the UPTET 2026 cut-off. The cut-off of UPTET 2026 will be in the form of qualifying marks. Aspirants will have to secure the UPTET 2026 cut off as per their category. According to the cut off of UPTET 2026, general applicants must secure at least 60% while the reserved category applicants must secure 55% marks. UPTET Eligibility Certificate

UPTET Eligibility Certificate will be issued to all those candidates who qualify for the exam. The eligibility certificate for UPTET 2026 will be issued 1 month after the announcement of the result. The certificate of eligibility is now valid for a lifetime. With the eligibility certificate, aspirants will be able to apply for a teaching role from classes 1 to 8 at the Uttar Pradesh schools. Eligible candidates would have to receive their eligibility certificate by showing their admission card and photo identity evidence to the District School Board.

Candidates applying for the Super TET 2022 must have graduated and got at least 50% marks in all their studies . Candidates must have obtained a bachelor's degree in primary/ elementary education (B. Ed) or hold a degree in this field.

If you have completed your B. Ed. Degree and  qualified  both Uptet and ctet of paper 2, you are therefore, eligible for super tet examination also.

But to be on a safer side, you can also go for paper 1 as it would increase your chances for a secured government job if the vacancies are up for any programme.
