According to the official notification, there is no upper HP TET age limit. A person of any age can apply for the HP TET exam. For each post for which the exam will be held, the eligibility criteria of HP TET 2024 vary in terms of educational qualifications. As per the notification, the applicants must be an Indian citizen. The candidates belonging to Himachal Pradesh need to provide their domicile certificate.
As per the eligibility criteria of HP TET 2024, candidates must have the educational qualification set by the exam authority. The educational qualification of the candidate varies as per the subject they chose. Check the detailed education qualification for HP TET in the table below:

Language Teacher | Candidates must be a degree in Hindi or presently appearing in the final year of diploma course (2 years). |
Junior Basic Training | Candidates must have cleared 12th with a minimum of 50% and a degree in the diploma or Bachelor degree (50%) in elementary education. |
Punjabi Language Teacher | Candidates must hold a degree in Punjabi or presently appearing in the final year of their diploma course (2 years). |
Urdu Language Teacher | Candidates must hold a degree in Urdu or appear in the final year of their diploma course (2 years). |
B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard (or)
B.A./B.Com. with at least 45 percent marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time. (or)
B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education (or)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (or)
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed.
For those candidates who have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four years of B.Sc. (NM) in Elementary Education. (or)
B.Sc. Non-Medical with 50% and 1 year Bachelor degree in Education, or Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (or)
B.Sc (Non-Medical) with at least 45 percent marks or more for those candidates who have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four years of Bachelor in Non-Medic (Special Education) (or)
One year of Bachelor in Education(B.Ed) as per NCTE
The minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution by the H.P. Government. (or)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) with Sanskrit. (or)
Graduation with Sanskrit at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). (or)
4-year degree of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
Candidates must have completed a B.Sc.(Medical) with a minimum of 45 percent for those who passed before August 30, 2010 and 50 percent for those who completed after August 30, 2010. (or)
Candidates must have completed one year of Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) or Special Education as per NCTE B.Sc (Medical) with a minimum of 50% marks and one year of Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) or Special Education as per NCTE B.Sc (Medical) with a minimum of 50% marks. (or)
B.Sc. (Medical) with a minimum of 50% and a one-year bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed.). (or)
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and four years of B.Sc.(Medical)Ed (B.El.Ed.).
Must have an M.A. in Hindi from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and one year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). (or)
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and Hindi as an elective subject, as well as a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education. (or)
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with Hindi as an elective subject and a two-year Elementary Education Diploma. (or)
Candidates must have completed one year of Bachelor of Education at an NCTE-accredited university and a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45 percent in Hindi as an elective subject. (or)
Must have completed a Bachelor's in Arts (English and one other subject) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
A two-year elementary education diploma and a bachelor's degree are required. (or)
10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised Board/University and a two-year JBT certificate from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Government are required. (or)
According to NCTE, a senior high school diploma with a minimum of 45 percent and a two-year elementary education diploma are required. (or)
Senior high school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and two years of elementary education diploma (Special Education). (or)
Senior secondary school diploma or equivalent of at least 50% marks and two years of elementary education diploma. (or)
A minimum of 50% in senior high school or equivalent.
Candidates must have scored more than or equal to 50% in Bachelor's degree with Punjabi as an elective subject and one year in Bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed.) Particular education (or)
Candidates must have a master's degree in Punjabi with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognized university and a bachelor's degree in education for one year (B.Ed.). (or)
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Punjabi as an elective subject and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (or)
Candidates should have one year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) per NCTE and must have scored 45 percent or more in Graduations with Punjabi as an elective subject.
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree with Urdu as an elective subject and one year of Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed.) Education for the Disabled. (or)
Candidates with a BA degree with a minimum of 50% marks (Urdu as an elective subject) and one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). (or)
Masters with a minimum of 50% marks in Urdu and one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). (or)
B.A. with a minimum of 45 percent marks with Urdu as an elective subject and one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in compliance with the NCTE. (or)
B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
HPBOSE released the HP TET 2024 application form for November session on September 28, 2024 on their official website. Candidates need to follow various steps, such as registration, filling in the information, uploading scanned pictures, signature file, and paying the HP TET application fee to fill the application form. The last date to submit the HP TET application form is October 18 (without late fee) and October 21 (with a late fee of Rs. 600). The HP TET admit card 2024 will be issued to those candidates who have successfully submitted their application form.

The application fee must be paid in online mode through Internet Banking, Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.

Other TET/NET exam eligibility criteria that candidates might be interested in
Candidates who will qualify the HP TET exam will be awarded with the HP TET eligibility certificate. The validity of HP TET eligibility certificate is for lifetime. Earlier, it was for seven years which is now changed to lifetime after the decision taken by the Education Minister of India.
There is no age limit for the HP TET exam. So, you can easily appear.

According to the official notification regarding the eligibility criteria, the candidate must have 50% in their undergraduate degree, it could be BA, BCom, BSc, BEd depending upon the field you choose as a TGT or JBT. Since, you scored 49.9%, you are not eligible to apply. Although there is no upper age limit, you need to satisfy all of the eligibility criteria.

For HP TET a minimum of 45% aggregate is required for all who have graduated before 2010..
So you can appear in HP TET TGT...
But for JBT minimum of 50% aggregate and 2 year JBT certificate is also required.
So in my opinion you can't appear for HP TET JBT...
