Yes, you can fill the SSC CGL form if you are in the last semester of your BTech, but your degree must be completed before the final document verification stage.

So, if your final result comes out before that stage, then you are eligible. Just make sure you will have your degree or provisional certificate by the time SSC asks for documents.

To prepare well for SSC CGL Exam, the most essential step is to understand syllabus. Which has following four parts:

1. General Intelligence and reasoning

2. Quantitative Aptitude

3. English

4. General Awareness

Then go through at least last 5 years PYQs. From that you will get to know the main areas of focus and the areas which has been given high weightage in exam from each part.

Based on this divide each part of syllabus into subtopic. And prepare each topic thoroughly through your base sources. Have command over your basics from these sources.

Along with this you need to practice PYQs and give various mock tests to increase your efficiency. You may take a help of various platforms available online for practicing mock tests. Only practicing mock tests is not enough you need to analyze your performance in each mock test.
