RRB Kolkata releases the result of RRB JE in three stages as shown below.

RRB Kolkata JE Result 2026 for CBT 1
CBT stands for Computer-based test, and it is qualifying in nature. However, the marks scored by candidates in this stage will not be considered while preparing the final RRB JE result. The result of RRB Kolkata JE CBT 1 is calculated out of 100 marks. Candidates have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible to appear for CBT 2. As per previous year trends, based on the marks obtained by candidates in CBT 1, 15 times the number of vacancies are selected for CBT 2.

How to calculate the RRB Kolkata JE 2026 Result for CBT 1?
The calculation of the RRB Kolkata JE result 2026 is done on the basis of the marking scheme provided by RRB. Candidates can check the formula here to calculate the scores.
CBT 1 consists of 100 marks.
For each correct mark, they are given 1 mark.
1/3 marks are deducted as negative marking for wrong answers.
Candidates can check the formula given below for the calculation of the score of the RRB Kolkata JE result 2026 for CBT 1.
Total marks out of 100 = Number of correct answers X 1 – number of incorrect answers X 1/3
RRB Kolkata JE result 2026 - CBT 2
Candidates who qualify for CBT 1 are eligible to appear for CBT 2. The RRB Kolkata JE result 2026 for CBT 2 is calculated out of 150 marks. RRB Kolkata also uses the normalization process, the same as CBT 1 to calculate the marks for CBT 2. Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks are declared qualified. The qualified candidates in the CBT 2 will have to appear for Document Verification (DV).
