NE SET result 2020- State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Commission, Assam will declare NE SET 2020 result on online mode on the official website a few days after the exam. Candidates will be able to check their individual result of NE SLET 2020 using the required login credentials. NE SET 2020 scorecard contains name and roll no. of the candidate, marks scored by the candidates in paper 1 and paper 2, total marks and aggregate percentage. After the declaration of NE SLET 2020 result, category wise cut off list for each of the NESLET (also known as Assam SLET or Assam SET )subjects will also be published. As per UGC guidelines, the top 6% of the candidates who qualify in the Assam SLET result 2020 meeting NE SET cut off 2020 will become eligible to be recruited as assistant professors in Universities and colleges across the eight North-Eastern states (Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, and Sikkim). SLET Commission, Assam will provide certificates to the candidates who qualify in the NE SET result 2020 within 45 working days from the declaration of result. How to Check NE SET Result 2020?

Candidates will be able to check their individual result of NE SET 2020 by following these simple stapes-

  1. Visit the official website- sletne.org

  2. Find and click on the link that shows ‘NE SLET result 2020’ (link will be provided here once it is available)

  3. The result will be shown as a list in PDF format containing roll no. of the qualified candidates

  4. Press Cntrl + F / Command + F and enter your roll number

  5. If qualified, roll no. will be shown on the PDF

  6. Download and take printout of the PDF for future reference.

Discrepancy in NE SET Result 2020

In case of any discrepancy in the NE SET 2020 scorecard, candidates will be able to report it to the conducting authorities. Candidates will have to send a written request to the following address-

Along with the written request, candidates will have to send documentary proof to support the claim and a Demand Draft for Rs. 5000/-in favor of the Member Secretary at SBI Gauhati University (G.U.) Branch, Jalukbari within 15 days from the announcement or NE SET result 2020.

NE SET Result 2020- Minimum Qualifying Marks

The exam conducting authorities set the minimum qualifying marks as per the guidelines prescribed by UGC. General/Open category candidates should score at least 40% marks to qualify in the NE SLET 2020. For other reserved categories, the minimum qualifying mark is 35%-

Note that, by scoring the minimum qualifying marks, candidates will pass NE SET 2020 but it may or may not be enough to qualify to be recruited as assistant professors. For that purpose, candidates will also have to meet the subject wise and category wise cut off marks of NE SET 2020.

NE SET 2020 cut off will be released officially after the end of the exam. Cut off refers to the minimum marks a candidate will need to score to qualify in the NE SET exam. State Eligibility Test (SET) , formerly known as North East State Level Eligibility Test (NESLET) is conducted by SLET Commission, Assam in offline mode for the recruitment of Assistant Lecturers at institutes/colleges/universities.

The official date for release of the results have not been notified yet, though it is expected to release within June,2021 .

The full form of SLET is the State Level Eligibility Test. It is conducted by UGC, NTA. The exam determines candidates eligibility for Colleges and Universities. The candidates who qualify in the test are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer within the jurisdiction of the Member-States of this SLET Commission.

The eligibility criteria for the exam is:

  • The candidate should be Indian.
  • The candidate need to have Master Degree with at least 55% marks. The minimum required marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 50%
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master Degree Exam are also eligible to apply for the test.
  • There is no age limit for the exam.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for both NTA UGC-NET exam conducted by NTA and SET exam conducted by different states. Any one who has completed his/her  Masters with minimum of 55% for general category and 50% for SC/ST category are eligible to apply for NET/SET exam. As an MBA student you will be able to give NET/SET exam in Management subject.
