SSC Stenographer 2018 - Staff Selection Commission(SSC)has released the final answer Key of Grade C and D on June 7, 2019. SSC Stenographer answer key 2018 can be downloaded by entering the user ID and password in the login window which is available till July 7, 2019. The final answer key has been released after getting it rectified by the subject experts. The provisional answer Key was available on March 8 where candidates were able to submit objections till March 11, 2019 (till 6 pm). The result and cutoff of SSC Stenographer for CBE was declared on April 15. For Grade C, a total of 11, 211 candidates qualified whereas for Grade D, 15,953 candidates have been selected for the Skill Test.
The exam was conducted across 208 centres in 107 cities across the country. As per a notification released by SSC, this year 4,36,910 candidates registered for SSC Stenographer 2019 out which 1,85,357 (42.43%) candidates appeared for the exam.SSC Stenographer exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates to the post of Stenographer Grade C (Group B - Non-Gazetted) and D (Group C – Non-Gazetted).

The final answer key of SSC Stenographer has been released on June 7, 2019. The answer key is available online till July 7 along with the question papers. Using the answer key of SSC Stenographer 2018, candidates can check correct answers of questions asked in the exam. They can also calculate the probable score based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. Candidates were able to challenge the provisional answer key from March 8 to 11, 2019 (till 6 pm).
SSC Stenographer 2018 - Vacancy Details
SSC has announced the number of vacancies on April 12, 2019 in the official website. As per the vacancy list, total 1201 candidates will be recruited for both SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' posts. The vacancies announced for Grade 'C' are 505 while 606 vacancies have been declared for Grade 'D'.
The result of SSC Stenographer has released on April 15, 2019 in online mode. SSC Stenographer result is declared in two stages - CBE and final. A merit list will be prepared based on candidate’s marks in CBE. On the basis of the merit list candidates will be called for skill test in a stenographer. SSC Stenographer result for CBE is available in login window. The computer-based marks of candidates is calculated out of 200 marks. Candidates need to qualify in all the subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Comprehension. The marks of CBT will be normalised to announce SSC Stenographer result 2018. The final result will be announced based on the marks obtained by candidates in CBT provided they qualify the skill test.
SSC Stenographer admit card 2018 was released separately for Computer Based Test and Skill Test. The admit card of SSC Stenographer Computer Based Test was issued on January 29, 2019. Candidates could download SSC stenographer admit card online by login with their roll number/registration number/name and date of birth. The admit card includes details like name, date, time and address of exam centres. Candidates qualifying the Computer Based Test will be issued admit card for appearing in the skill test.

SSC has prescribed the SSC Stenographer eligibility criteria detailing the parameters like age, nationality and educational qualification. Candidates to be eligible for the recruitment process of SSC Stenographer 2018 have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting authority, Staff Selection Commission.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed Class 12/HSC or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
The online SSC stenographer application form was available from October 22 to November 20. The last date of fee payment online was November 21, 2018. Candidates opting for offline fee payment were required to generate the challan on or before November 21. Candidates were able to deposit their examination fees at any of the branch of SBI till November 26, 2018. Application fee for SSC stenographer 2018 was Rs. 100 (for general and OBC). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen category as well as female candidates were exempted from paying the application fee for SSC Stenographer. Fee could be paid through SBI Challan/SBI net banking or through credit/debit cards of any bank. SSC Stenographer 2018 application form could be filled in two parts. In Part I, candidates were able to fill their basic information. In Part II, candidates had to pay application fee, upload photograph and signature.

The exam centres of SSC Stenographer provides the names of cities where the Computer Based test has been conducted. SSC has released the list of SSC Stenographer exam centres. As per the notification, the exam was conducted across 107 cities. Applicants were required to enter their choices of exam centres while filling the application form. The exam pattern of SSC Stenographer exam pattern provides details like marking scheme, number of papers, time duration, qualifying marks and number of question. The recruitment exam comprises two stages – CBT and Skill Test. The question paper of CBT will consist of three sections - General Intelligence, General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension. There will be 200 questions and candidates will be allotted 2 hours to answer the same. Total marks of CBT is 200. There are negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The cutoff of SSC Stenographer is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to score to get selected for the next round of selection process. SSC Stenographer Cutoff marks is released along with the result. Candidates securing equal to or more than SSC Stenographer cutoff in CBT as per their category will be selected for the merit list.
