SSC Stenographer 2018 - Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the result date of SSC Stenographer. The result for the exam conducted from February 5 to 8 will be released on April 15, 2019. The exam was conducted across 208 centres in 107 cities cross the country. As per a notification released by SSC, this year 4,36,910 candidates registered for SSC Stenographer 2019 out which 1,85,357 (42.43%) candidates appeared for the exam. The admit card of SSC Stenographer was released on January 29, 2019. Candidates were able to download the admit card either by entering roll number, registration ID or name and date of birth.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had cancelled the exam for Shift 1 scheduled to be held on February 5 (10 am - 12 pm). The exam for Shift 1 was conducted on February 8 (3 pm - 5 pm). The revised notification for SSC Stenographer 2018 was released on December 14 along with the online application form. Candidates could fill SSC Stenographer 2018 application form till November 20. While filling the application form, candidates had to provide details of Aadhaar Number/ Aadhaar Enrollment Number. Applicants without Aadhaar Card had to enter ID number of Voter Card, PAN, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID, Employer ID or left thumb impression.
SSC Stenographer exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates to the post of Stenographer Grade C (Group B - Non-Gazetted) and D (Group C – Non-Gazetted).

SSC Stenographer 2018 Vacancy Details
SSC will announce the number of vacancies in due course of time. However, it can be expected that approximately 1700 vacancies will be filled through SSC Stenographer recruitment.
SSC Stenographer Result 2018
The result of SSC Stenographer will be release on April 15, 2019 in online mode. SSC Stenographer result will be declared in two stages - CBT and final. A merit list will be prepared based on candidate’s marks in CBT. On the basis of the merit list candidates will be called for skill test in a stenographer. SSC Stenographer result for CBT will be made available in PDF file mentioning the names, roll numbers and categories of qualified candidates. The computer-based marks of candidates will be calculated out of 200 marks. Candidates need to qualify in all the subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Comprehension. The marks of CBT will be normalised to announce SSC Stenographer result 2018. The final result will be announced based on the marks obtained by candidates in CBT provided they qualify the skill test.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2018
SSC has prescribed the SSC Stenographer eligibility criteria detailing the parameters like age, nationality and educational qualification. Candidates to be eligible for the recruitment process of SSC Stenographer 2018 have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting authority, Staff Selection Commission.

SSC Stenographer Application Form 2018
The online SSC stenographer application form was available from October 22 to November 20. The last date of fee payment online was November 21, 2018. Candidates opting for offline fee payment were required to generate the challan on or before November 21. Candidates were able to deposit their examination fees at any of the branch of SBI till November 26, 2018. Application fee for SSC stenographer 2018 was Rs. 100 (for general and OBC). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen category as well as female candidates were exempted from paying the application fee for SSC Stenographer. Fee could be paid through SBI Challan/SBI net banking or through credit/debit cards of any bank. SSC Stenographer 2018 application form could be filled in two parts. In Part I, candidates were able to fill their basic information. In Part II, candidates had to pay application fee, upload photograph and signature.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2018
The exam pattern of SSC Stenographer exam pattern provides details like marking scheme, number of papers, time duration, qualifying marks and number of question. The recruitment exam comprises two stages – CBT and Skill Test. The question paper of CBT will consist of three sections - General Intelligence, General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension. There will be 200 questions and candidates will be allotted 2 hours to answer the same. Total marks of CBT is 200. There are negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The standard of questions in CBT will be of class 12/HSC level. Candidates who qualify CBT of SSC Stenographer 2018 will be called for skill test. The detailed exam pattern is given below.

The answer key of SSC Stenographer will be released after completion of the exam. The answer key will be available online. Using the answer key of SSC Stenographer 2018, candidates can check correct answers of questions asked in the exam. SSC Stenographer Cutoff 2018
The cutoff of SSC Stenographer is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to score to get selected for the next round of selection process. SSC Stenographer Cutoff marks will be released along with the result. Candidates securing equal to or more than SSC Stenographer cutoff in CBT as per their category will be selected for the merit list.
