SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2018

 

SSC has prescribed the eligibility criteria of SSC Stenographer 2018 detailing the parameters like age, nationality and educational qualification. Candidates to be eligible for the recruitment process of SSC Stenographer 2018 have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting authority, Staff Selection Commission.

SSC Stenographer Application Form 2018

 

The online application form of SSC stenographer 2018 will be released on September 29, 2018. Candidates can apply online till October 22, 2018. Application fee for SSC stenographer 2018 is Rs. 100 (for general and OBC). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category as well as female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee for SSC Stenographer 2018. Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/SBI net banking or through credit/debit cards of any bank. SSC Stenograher 2018 application form can be filled in two parts. In Part I, candidates can fill their basic information. In Part II, candidates can pay their application fees, upload photograph and signature.

SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2018

 

The SSC Stenographer admit card 2018 will be released 10 to 15 days before the examination. Candidates have to download SSC stenographer 2018 admit card online. The admit card of SSC Stenographer can be downloaded by entering roll number/registration number/name and date of birth. Candidates who have successfully filled SSC Stenographer application form will be able to download their admit card. The admit card will include details like name, date, time and address of exam centres.

 

SSC Stenogtrapher Exam Pattern 2018

 

The exam pattern of SSC Stenographer exam pattern 2018 provides details like marking scheme, number of papers, time duration, qualifying marks and number of question. The recruitment exam comprises two stages – CBT and Skill Test. The question paper of CBT will consists of three sections - General Intelligence, General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension. There will be 200 questions and candidates will be allotted 2 hours to answer the same. Total marks of CBT is 200. There is negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The standard of questions in CBT will be of Class 12/HSC level. Candidates who qualify CBT of SSC Stenographer 2018 will be called for skill test. The detailed exam pattern is given below.

Skill Test

Candidates will be given one dictation which they have to type at the speed of 100 w.p.m for stenographer grade 'C' posts while it is 80 w.p.m speed for stenographer grade 'D' posts. Total time allotted for this test is 10 minutes.

SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2018

 

The answer key of SSC Stenographer will be released after completion of the exam. The answer key will be available online. Using the answer key of SSC Stenographer 2018, candidates can check correct answers of questions asked in the exam. They can also calculate the probable score based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. Candidates can challenge SSC Stenographer answer key online within the prescribed dates.

 

SSC Stenographer Result 2018

 

SSC Stenographer result will be declared in two stage stages - CBT and final. A merit list will be prepared based on candidate’s marks in CBT. On the basis of the merit list candidates will be called for skill test in stenographer. SSC Stenographer result 2018 for CBT will be made available in PDF file mentioning the names, roll numbers and categories of qualified candidates. The computer based marks of candidates will be calculated out of 200 marks. Candidates need to qualify in all the subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Comprehension. Final result will be announced based on the marks obtained by candidates in CBT provided they qualify the skill test.

 

SSC Stenographer Cutoff 2018

 

The cutoff of SSC Stenographer is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to score to get selected for the next round of selection process. SSC Stenographer Cutoff marks will be released along with the result. Candidates securing equal to or more than SSC Stenographer cutoff in CBT as per their category will be selected for the merit list. SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2018

 

In SSC Stenographer grade C and grade D posts, candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the CBT and skill test. First candidates have to appear for CBT. Candidates who qualify CBT will be eligible for Skill Test. SSC will decide minimum qualifying marks for CBT to select candidates for Skill Test. Candidates who qualify Skill Test will be recommended for appointment by the commission on the basis of total marks in the CBT.
