TNPSC Group 4 Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) determines the eligibility criteria of TNPSC Group 4 2019 exam. TNPSC will conduct the Combined Civil Services Examination to recruit candidates for the various posts under Group 4 on September 1, 2019. TNPSC Group 4 eligibility criteria 2019 are the set of conditions mandated by the Commission on the basis of which candidates will be deemed eligible for the exam. Candidates must fulfill all TNPSC Group 4 eligibility criteria 2019 prescribed by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission to become eligible for the exam. The eligibility criteria of TNPSC Group 4 has been provided below.
TNPSC has prescribed different age requirements for the various posts under Group 4. Age of a candidate will be determined as on July 1, 2019. The post-wise and category-wise age requirements has been provided in the table below.
Age Requirements for Village Administrative Officer:
ST/ SC/ BC/ BCM/ Widows
Age Requirements for the posts of Junior Assistant (Non-Security), Junior Assistant (Security), Bill Collector – Grade I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade -III):
ST/ SC/ Widows
Person trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu (Field Surveyor and Draftsman)
Note: No requirement in upper age limit has been imposed on candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, widows who possess educational qualification higher than the minimum qualification.
According to TNPSC 2019 Group 4 eligibility criteria, candidates applying for all posts must have passed class 10 board exam with scores required to be eligible for class 12 or college. However, other criteria have been mandated by the Commission as per posts. The additional educational and technical requirements for the different posts have been provided in the table below.

Must have passed Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:
i) by Higher Grade in Tamil and English; or

Note: Technical qualification stated above are in decreasing order of preference for the post.
Steno-Typist (Grade 3)
For candidates opting the post of Field Surveyor, preference will be provided to those trained in survey in Industrial Training Institutes.
TNPSC Group 4 eligibility criteria 2019 - Computer Qualification for Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade 3)
Candidates applying for Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade 3) should have passed Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation awarded by Technical Education Department. Candidates who do not possess the same are also eligible to apply for these post. However, if qualified, such candidates will have to acquire the certificate within the period of probation.
TNPSC Group 4 eligibility criteria 2019 - Knowledge in Tamil
Candidates applying for TNPSC Group 4 must have sufficient knowledge of Tamil language to be eligible for the posts.
TNPSC Group 4 eligibility criteria - Physical Fitness Certificate
Candidates who are selected for appointment to the posts they have applied for will need to produce certificate of physical fitness regarding standard of vision. Candidates having defective vision have to produce certificate regarding eye fitness from qualifies eye specialist. Candidates selected for Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service will also need to produce certificate of physical fitness. The admit card of TNPSC 2019 for Group 4 will be issued in the online mode in August 2019. The admit card will be issued to candidates who will successfully fill the application form of TNPSC Group 4. TNPSC Group 4 admit card will not be sent to candidates through post. TNPSC Group 4 2019 admit card will contain information pertaining to the candidate, date, time and venue of exam and exam day guidelines. Candidates must carry the admit card to the exam centre on the day of exam.
