About TNPSC Group 4 2019
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts Combined Civil Services Examination - 4 (Group-IV) to select candidates for various posts in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service. To be eligible for TNPSC Group 4 exam, candidates should be at least of 18 years of age and have passed SSLC or any other equivalent examination. Based on the performance in the written exam, the commission will release a tentative list of candidates selected for document verification. Eligible candidates will be called for counselling where they will be allotted posts or departments as per their rank in the merit list.

The eligibility criteria of TNPSC Group 4 are the set of guidelines in terms of age and educational qualification which are required to be fulfilled by candidates inorder to be eligible for the recruitment exam. The following table provides TNPSC Group 4 eligibility for different posts.

Step 1: Applicants have to submit their application online.
Step 2: One-time registration is mandatory before applying for any post.
Step 3: Candidates will have to register by paying Rs 150. One time registration is valid for 5 years from the date of registration.
Step 4: For registration, candidates must have scanned images of photograph, certificates and signature.
Step 5: To apply, applicants have to click on ‘Apply’ tab provided against each vacancy.
Step 6: Enter User ID and Password generated after successful registration.
Step 7: Select the name of the post or service for which they wish to apply.
Step 8: Applicants are required to upload scanned images of photograph and signature
Step 9: In TNPSC Group 4 application form, candidates will have to enter name, post, educational qualification, category, date of birth, address, email ID, exam centre etc.
Step 10: After submitting TNPSC Group 4 application form, candidates can take printout of the same in PDF format.

TNPSC Group 4 2019 Exam Pattern
According to the exam pattern of TNPSC Group 4, the written exam will comprise three sections – General Studies, Aptitude Test and General Tamil/General English. The question booklet will carry total 200 questions. Maximum marks allotted for the test is 300. Candidates will be given 3 hours to answer the questions. There will be two types of question paper sets. Type 1 comprises General Studies, Aptitude Test and General English. Type 2 consists of General Studies, Aptitude Test and General Tamil. Candidates will be given option to choose either General English/General Hindi. The questions on General Studies will be set in English and Tamil. Question paper of General Tamil/ General English will be in respective languages.
The hall ticket of TNPSC Group 4 is released in online mode. TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket can be downloaded by logging with their application ID and date of birth. The examination authority will not sent the hard copy of TNPSC hall ticket 2019 by post. The admit card is issued to candidates who successfully register for the exam. Candidates are able to download their admit card till the day of their exam. The hall ticket carries information like candidate’s name, roll number, registration number, date of birth, photograph, signature, date, time, city etc. In case of any error in TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket/admit card, candidates should contact the examination officials for correction.

TNPSC will release provisional and final answer key. First, the commission will release the provisional TNPSC Group 4 answer key within three to four days after exam. After evaluation of challenges submitted by candidates, the final answer key will be published. TNPSC Group 4 answer key 2019 will be available online in PDF format for all sets of test booklets. The correct answers will be tick marked in the respective choices. Using TNPSC Group 4 answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their probable score. While checking the answers, candidates can submit representations which should reach commission’s office within 7 days from the date of release of answer key.
TNPSC Group 4 result 2019 will be available in form of marks and ranks. To check the result, candidates will have to login with their registration number. TNPSC Group 4 result will display registration number, gender, marks, category and overall rank. On the basis of the marks secured in written exam, candidates will be selected for document verification and counselling. The marks of TNPSC Group 4 is valid of one year.
The cut off of TNPSC Group 4 is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidate must secure to be eligible for the next round of selection process. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the minimum qualifying marks for written exam. The qualifying cut off prescribed for written exam is 90 across all categories.

I have scored 175 marks in TNPSC group 4 exam.Is there any chance for me to get the VAO post.
Your score is a minimum score called pass mark in TNPSC group 4. There are lakhs of people had written the exam which was conducted for only thousands of job vacancies. For the last Group 4 exam (2019), merit list has been published. If you are in the merit list, you will have some chances to get VAO post.

The TNPSC will conduct the certificate verification in 1:3 ratio. The documents for verification includes — nationality proof, voters ID card, Aadhaar card, admit card, HSC/Class 12 mark sheet, SSC/Class 10 mark sheet, health certificate , a copy of online application form etc.
I had scored 210 in tnpsc group 4 exam i applied for vao post but still not got any message for the next level and what is the exact cut off marks for vao post 2019
TNPSC has conducted group 4 exam for nearly 6500 posts in the month of September. But nearly 13 lakhs of people have been appeared for this exam. So the competition is so high if many people score high marks. Minimum pass mark is only 90. TNPSC released the merit list for the group 4 exam. Kindly check the merit list for your number. how many mark is considered to be cut off out of 300 ?
Generally there is No pre fixed cutoff for competitive exams. Usually the cutoff in any exam depends upon the following factors :
- Number of Seats
- Previous year cutoff trends
- The difficulty level of the exam
- Average marks scored by the candidates
- Number of candidates appeared for the test.
If you can score more than 80 % then it will be considered as good score. if any doubts pls feel free to ask.
