USET 2020 Exam - Dates, Application, Admit Card, Syllabus & Pattern, Result

Kumaun University will conduct the Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test (USET) for the appointment of Assistant Professors in the State of Uttarakhand. Candidates who wish to appear in USET, have to pass the Master degree from a recognised by U.G.C with 55% marks (50% for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) to be eligible for the test. The application form of USTET will be available online in August. Registered candidates have to download their admit card within the prescribed time period to appear in the examination. The exam will be held in offline mode for three papers in two separate sessions. The paper I and II will be conducted in the morning session while Paper III will be held in the afternoon session. The selection of USTET will be on the basis of written test. However only top 6% of the appearing candidates who appear in all three papers and secure atleast 40% aggregate marks for General category (35% aggregate marks for reserved categories) will be declared qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor. 

USET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

• There is no upper age limit for USET 2019
• Candidates must have a post graduate degree/diploma/certificate by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by any Foreign University/Institute ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master's degree of recognized Indian Universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
• Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent from recognised universities/institutions by UGC and State Government are eligible for this test. Marks relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/PwD categories is 5% i.e. 50%.
• Ph.D degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by September 19, 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in USET 2019
• Candidates must ensure that they produce certificates as per their eligibility for the category applied.
• Candidates have to appear for USET in the subject of their Master Degree only.

USET 2019 Application Form

Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below:-

• Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. 
• The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
• Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb. 
• The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).

How to USET Application Form 2019?

• The application form of USET 2019 will be available in online mode only.
• Candidates must enter their personal details such as communication address, contact details (email ID and mobile number), educational and other informations.
• The Examination fee may be paid online (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card) or by Cash through Challan at any Branch of State Bank of India (SBI). The candidate must keep the print out of the application form and candidate’s copy of Challan/ fee receipt with them.
• General Category -  Rs. 1000 (excluding Bank Charges, if any)
• OBC(Non- creamy layer) /SC /ST /PWD (persons with disability) - Rs. 600 (excluding Bank Charges, if any)
• Candidates who are not domicile of Uttarakhand State have to pay Rs. 1000 as fee irrespective of their Category (SC/ST/PH/VH/OBC/General)
• The candidates need not attach any document in the online application. However, they are advised to keep a printout on separate A4 size papers of their online Application form.
• After filling up all the details for online application for USET 2019, and confirming the correctness of the same, the System will generate a unique Registration Number and Password, which would be communicated to the candidate via SMS and email address provided by them at the time of fee payment.

USET Paper 1 Exam Pattern

USET 2019  Paper I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The first fifty questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.

USET 2019  Paper II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks

USET Admit Card 2019

The admit card of USET 2019 will be available in online mode. No hard copy of the admit card will be given to the candidates by the conducting body. The candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their login credentials. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre other than that allotted to them in the USET admit card 2019 under any circumstances. How to download USET Admit Card 2019?

Visit the official website i.e. usetonline.com or kunainital.ac.in. (link will be provided as soon as university releases the admit card)

• Click on the link of the admit card for the concerned post

• Enter details such as name, fathers name and date of birth and click on ‘Submit’ button

• USET 2019 admit card will be displayed on the screen.

• Check the details and take a printout of the admit card for the future reference

• Name of the Candidate

• Category

• Examination Time and Date

• Examination Centre Name and Address

• Photograph and Signature

USET Answer key 2019

Kumaun University will publish the answer key of USET 2019 in online mode. The answer key will be available in pdf format for all the three papers – I, II and III. Candidates can download the answer key of USET and match the correct answer to the questions asked in the examination. Through USET answer key 2019 candidates can also calculate probable scores to be obtained in the Uttarakhand SET exam.

USET Result 2019

The result of USET 2019 will be released by Kumaun University in online mode. The result will have marks statement of the candidates. The authority will issue a certificate to qualifying candidates only. Candidates must note that only top 6% of the appearing candidates who appear in all three papers and secure at least 40% aggregate marks for General category and at least 35% aggregate marks for reserved categories will be declared qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor. The criteria of result declaration will be final and binding for all candidates.
