    About SSC JHT 2026

    Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC JHT application form 2026 from April 23 to May 14, 2026, on the official website at ssc.gov.in. The last day to pay the SSC JHT 2026 application fee was May 15, 2026. Additionally, the candidates can avail the SSC JHT application correction window facility from May 19 to 20, 2026. The commission announced a total of 84 SSC JHT vacancies. 

    The commission has set to conduct the SSC JHT exam 2026 for paper 1 exam in August-September 2026, tentatively. The commission released the SSC JHT 2026 notification on April 23, 2026. Those applying for the SSC JHT exam should go through the SSC JHT 2026 notification. The notification of SSC JHT 2026 contains all the details related to the SSC JHT exam, like application form dates, fee payment, eligibility, and more. 

    SSC conducts the SSC JHT exam for the combined recruitment of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translators, and Hindi Pradhyapak. SSC JHT exam is conducted in three stages - Paper 1, Paper 2, and Document Verification (DV). Based on the marks secured in Paper 1, candidates are selected for Paper 2. SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2026 Paper I is a computer-based exam, while Paper II is a pen and paper-based exam. 

    Candidates have to qualify in both to be called for document verification. Candidates who will meet the SSC JHT eligibility 2026 will be eligible to apply for the SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2026 exam. The selection of candidates for the SSC JHT posts will be region-wise and as per their performance in both Paper I and Paper II, as well as the authenticity of their candidature through document verification.

    SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2026 Nationality

    The candidate must be from

    • India, or

    • Bhutan, or

    The commission activated the SSC JHT application form from April 23 to May 14, 2026, on the official website at ssc.gov.in. The last date to pay the application form fee for the SSC JHT exam is May 15, 2026. The exam conducting authority has released the SSC JHT notification 2026 on April 23, 2026.

    Candidates have to furnish details of any photo identity proof like Aadhar card, Voter Card, PAN, School/College ID, Driving License, Employer ID, Passport, or left thumb impression. Only male candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories have to pay Rs. 100 as the application fee.

    Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH and females are exempted from fee payment. In order to pay the application fee, candidates could choose any mode of payment, either online or offline through SBI Challan and net banking/credit/debit.

    SSC JHT 2026 Registration – Part 1

    In part 1 of registration, new users have to register to generate a one-time registration ID and password to fill out the SSC JHT 2026 application form, whereas existing users can log in with the registration ID and password generated earlier. To proceed further, candidates have to fill in basic details like name, gender, nationality, date of birth, etc. 

    Upload a scanned photograph, signature, and click on the ‘submit’ button. The details about the registration and password were sent to the candidate's email ID provided by him/her while filling out the application form.

    SSC JHT 2026 Registration – Part 2

    To log in to part 2 of the SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2026 application form, candidates have to enter their registration ID and password. Candidates have to select the exam centres, choose the mode of payment, pay the requisite fee, and submit the application fee. Candidates also have to take a printout of the application for future reference.

    The exam pattern of SSC JHT has been prescribed by SSC. The written exam of SSC JHT comprises two papers – Objective and Conventional type. The objective type questions was conducted in computer-based mode while conventional type paper 2 will be descriptive in nature. 

    Part 1 objective type paper comprises two subjects – General Hindi and General English. Conventional type paper comprises questions related to translation and essay. There will be a scheme of negative marking for objective type where 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

    Exam Pattern of SSC JHT - Paper 1 

    The questions asked in paper of SSC JHT will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding of and literature, phrases and idioms, languages correct use of words, and ability to write the languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The questions will be asked at the graduation level.

                • Candidates appearing for SSC JHT must know the syllabus before starting their preparation. 

                • As per syllabus candidates must start making notes and collect the study materials.

                • Candidates must make a proper timetable and prepare accordingly.

                • They must also take some breaks while studying. 

                • Solve the previous years’ question paper to know the exam pattern, types of questions asked etc.

                The Staff Selection Commission will soon release the SSC JHT admit card on its official regional website. Candidates can download their SSC JHT 2026 admit card using their login credentials. The SSC JHT admit card consists of the candidate's photograph & signature, roll number, exam centre details, and address. 

                Candidates need to bring their SSC JHT 2026 hall ticket along with a valid ID proof. Only candidates who will bring the admit card will be able to appear for the SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2026.

                The commission declares the result of SSC JHT 2026 for paper 1 online at ssc.gov.in. SSC JHT result for paper 1 will be released in the form of pdf where candidates can check the list of qualified candidates. The result PDF of SSC JHT contains the roll number, name, and category of all the qualifying candidates. 

                Candidates can check their scorecards on their dashboards through the 'Candidate Login' window. Marks obtained by candidates in Paper 1 are normalized to announce the result, as the exam will be conducted in multiple sessions. Candidates have to obtain a score equal to or above the cutoff to be eligible to appear for Paper 2.  

                Paper 2

                The result of SSC JHT Paper 2 will be released for the candidates who qualify the cutoff released by the commission. SSC JHT result of Paper 2 is available in pdf form along with the name and roll number of qualified candidates. Candidates can check their result by downloading the pdf available on the official website.

                The cutoff of SSC JHT Paper 1 will be released by the Commission on the official website at ssc.gov.in. Candidates have to score above the cutoff marks to be eligible to appear for the next round of the selection process. SSC JHT cutoff for SSC JHT is released separately for Paper 1, 2, and the final. Candidates qualifying the cutoff are eligible to appear for Paper 2. SSC JHT cut off is released category-wise.

                Paper 2

                The cutoff of Paper 2 will be fixed by the commission. Candidates selected on the basis of cutoff released by SSC will have to appear for document verification. SSC JHT final cutoff will be based on the marks obtained by last selected candidates. 

                The candidates who appear for the document verification will be only considered for the final selection. SSC will release the cutoff category-wise and post-wise where candidates can check their marks obtained in Paper 1, 2 and last selected candidates.
