SSC JHT Cut off 2019 – The examination authority decides the cut off of SSC JHT for each stage to select suitable candidates for the recruitment. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will first release SSC JHT cut off for Paper 1. Based on the SSC JHT 2019 cut off of Paper 1, candidates will be shortlisted (category-wise) to appear in Paper 2. The authority releases separate cut-offs for Paper 1, 2 and final selection. The cut off of SSC JHT is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process.

Candidates, who would secure equal to or more than the SSC JHT 2019 cut off in Paper 2 will be shortlisted for document verification. Last year, SSC JHT cut off for Paper 2 was 135 for General category while it was 119 for OBC. SSC will decide the final cut off of SSC JHT based on the total marks of last selected candidates for appointment. In 2017, SSC JHT cut off for Paper 1 was 140 while that for OBC was 132.

What are the factors that determine SSC JHT cut off?

The cut off is determined by the examination authority based on the following factors.

  • Number of candidates appeared for the exam

  • The difficulty level of question papers

  • Total number of vacancies

SSC JHT Cut off 2019 of Paper 1

The cut off of SSC JHT of Paper 1 is declared along with Paper 1 result. SSC JHT cut off of Paper 1 is calculated out of 200 marks. On the basis of the cut off marks, candidates will be selected for the next round of selection process. To calculate the score of candidates, the examination authority will adopt the normalisation process. The cut off will be calculated based after normalisation of scores.

SSC JHT Cut off 2019 of Paper 2

SSC is likely to announce JHT cut off of Paper 2 along with the result. Paper 2 is a descriptive type test. SSC will decide the category-wise cut off for this stage out of 200 marks. Candidates declared qualified based on SSC JHT cut off of Paper 2 will be called for appearing in document verification.

SSC JHT Cut off 2019 for Final Selection

The cut off of SSC JHT for final selection will be declared by document verification. The cut off is likely to be announced along with the final merit list. SSC JHT cut off for final selection will be prepared based on the total marks secured by the last selected candidates for appointment. The total marks are calculated based on the marks of the last selected candidates in Paper 1 and 2. The merit list will be prepared based on the SSC JHT cut off for final selection. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be allocated to the different departments.
