WBCS 2019 – Public Service Commission, West Bengal has released the set-wise answer key of WBCS 2019 mains exam on August 14. Candidates can check the WBCS 2019 answer key by clicking on the link provided below. WBCS mains exam was conducted from July 25 to 28, 2019. The mains exam was conducted paper-wise in two shifts between (9 am to 12 noon) & (2 pm to 5 pm). Candidates who appeared in the WBCS 2019 mains exam were issued admit card on July 11. Earlier, the result of the WBCS prelims exam was declared on May 14, 2019. WBCS 2019 result was released in the form of pdf along with the cut off marks. A total of 15997 candidates have qualified for WBCS mains exam.

The answer key of WBCS mains exam has been released on August 14, 2019 on the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission. WBCS answer key for prelims exam was released after the completion of the exam on February 9, by coaching institutes. Candidates can download WBCS unofficial answer key for all sets from the links above. WBCS Admit Card 2019

The admit card of WBCS 2019 is issued individually for all stages of the exam – prelims, mains and personality test. The Commission releases the admit card online. WBCS admit card 2019 comprises details including name, registration number, venue, date and time of exam, exam day guidelines and other important information. Candidates can download the admit card using candidate’s enrolment number or first name and date of birth. After downloading, candidates must check the admit card for discrepancies. In case of mistakes in the admit card, candidates must contact the conducting authority and get the same corrected.

WBCS Syllabus 2019

The syllabus of WBCS 2019 prelims exam comprises eight sections – English Composition, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, History of India, Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal, Indian Polity and Economy, Indian National Movement and General Mental Ability. WBCS Exam Pattern 2019

WBCS 2019 exam is conducted in three stages – prelims, mains and personality test. Prelims exam comprises of one paper – General Studies. The prelims exam consists of objective type questions and was held for 200 marks. The exam was held for 2 hours 30 minutes. The difficulty level of the test was similar to that of graduation level. WBCS Result 2019

The exam conducting authority has released the prelims result of WBCS 2019 in the form of pdf. The result pdf of WBCS 2019 contains the roll number of all the qualified candidates for the mains exam. However, while preparing the merit list of WBCS 2019 the marks secured in prelims is not considered. The result of mains exam will be published in the form of pdf file. After the Personality Test, the Commission will release a provisional list of candidates recommended for appointment. The WBCS 2019 list will be prepared based on marks secured in both Mains and Personality Test. PSCWB releases the result separately for each stage of the exam – prelims, mains and personality test.

WBCS Cutoff 2019

PSCWB has released the cut off for prelims exam on May 14 in the form of pdf (category-wise). Candidate securing the minimum cut off or more in prelims have to appear for mains exam. WBCS 2019 cut off is released separately for each exam stage. The cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates must obtain to get shortlisted for subsequent stages of the selection process. As per performance in the mains exam, candidates will be called for Personality Test. On the basis of WBCS cut off, candidates are selected for the posts as per preference.

WBCS 2019 – Vacancy

Public Service Commission, West Bengal will announce the number of vacancies available in various services and posts. Candidates will be recruited for the posts on the basis of their performance in the exam. Vacancies will be reserved for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and PwD. However, candidates applying under SC, ST and OBC must belong to West Bengal otherwise their candidature will be regarded under general category.

WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria of WBCS 2019 is prescribed by the Public Service Commission, West Bengal. WBCS eligibility criteria 2019 includes age limit, educational qualification, etc. In order to become eligible for WBCS 2019, candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions mandated by the Commission.

WBCS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality - Candidates have to be a citizen of India

  • Age limit – Candidates must be between 21 and 36 years of age as on January 1, 2019 to be eligible for WBCS 2019

  • Relaxation of age – Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories form West Bengal will be able to avail age relaxation in the upper age limit. For SC and ST candidates, age will be relaxed by 5 years while OBC candidates will be provided upto three years of age relaxation. Candidates from PwD categories will be given age concession upto 45 years

  • Education Qualification – Candidate must have a degree from a recognised University to be eligible for WBCS

WBCS Application Form 2019

The application form of WBCS 2019 was available online from November 6 to 26, 2018. The application fee was Rs. 210 for general and OBC candidates. However, applicants belonging SC and ST from West Bengal and PwD candidates were exempted from paying the registration fee. WBCS 2019 application fee could be paid both online and offline using Credit/ Debit card, net banking or challan. The procedure to fill the WBSC application form 2019 has been provided below.

  • Examination details: In this section, fill in details such as choice of exam centre for prelims, choice of language in Compulsory Paper 1, group for concerned post, etc.

WBCS Exam Pattern 2019 for Personality Test

WBCS personality test contains questions related to general interest. The test will be held for 200 marks. Personality test assesses candidates’ personal qualities such as alertness of mind, power of clear and logical exposition, intellectual and moral integrity, leadership and their range of interests.

WBCS Selection Process 2019

WBCS 2019 will be conducted in three stages – prelims, mains and personality test. Candidates securing marks more than or equal to the cutoff of WBCS prelims will be selected to appear in mains exam. On the basis of marks secured in mains, candidates will be called for personality test. As per marks obtained in personality test, a list of candidates recommended for appointment will be prepared. The list will be provisional and candidates will be appointed posts on the basis of this list provided they fulfil all eligibility criteria prescribed by the Commission.
