UPPSC PCS 2025 Exam - Prelims Exam (Out), Cutoff, Answer key

UPPSC will issue the admit card of the UP PCS exam 2026 for prelims in online mode on the official website. To download the UP PCS admit card 2026, candidates have to enter their login credentials. The steps to do so are as follows.

Steps to Download the UP PCS Exam Admit Card 2026

• Click on the "Download Admit Card" link under the download segment.
• Enter the Registration no, Date of birth, and Gender.
• Click on the "Download" link and avail yourself of the admit card.
• Save a copy and take a printout of the same to carry to the exam hall.

How to retrieve the registration number?

• If a candidate has forgotten the registration number, they must click on "Know the registration number" under the download segment or in the login window.
• They must next enter their name, father's or husband's name, followed by their date of birth.
• The registration number will be sent to the candidates. They must use this to log in and download their UP PCS 2026 admit card

Candidates appearing for the UP PCS 2026 exam must meet the eligibility criteria. UP PCS eligibility criteria are different for all posts. The table below specifies the UP PCS eligibility criteria 2026 and academic requirements.

Age Limit- The candidate's age must be between 21 and 40 years. Relaxation for PH candidates:  The maximum age limit is 55 years.

For SC/ ST and OBC Candidates of UP: The maximum age limit is 45 years. This is also applicable to skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P., including Teachers/Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers / Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. In addition, applicants of Group 'B' posts for the Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Officers / Ex-Army Personnel of U.P. who have rendered five years’ service in the Army will also have a relaxation of five years.

UP PCS Exam 2026 Education Qualification

Minimum physical standards applicable under UP PCS 2026: 

For Assistant Conservator of Forest and Range Forest Officer: Height, Chest girth, and expansion as specified for the post. Relaxation is applicable to Gorkhas, Nepalis, Assamese, Meghalayan Tribal, Laddakhese, Sikkimese, Bhutanese, Garhwalis, Kumaunis, Nagas, and Arunachal Pradesh candidates. Male candidates are required to appear for a walking test of 25 km to be completed in four hours. Female candidates must do walk 14 km in four hours.

The Commission released the UPPSC PCS 2026 application form for the prelims exam in online mode on June 27, 2026, on the official website. The application form of UPPSC PCS 2026 last date is July 27, 2026, at uppsc.up.nic.in. • Candidates need NOT send a hard copy of the filled-in application form or any other document/certificate/testimonial to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

• After filling in the Verification code, they must click on the 'proceed' button, following which, for 'Authentication' of the candidate, will be done through OTP (One Time Password).

• After the candidate has filled in the OTP and clicks on the 'proceed' button, his / her previously submitted UP PCS application form 2026 will be displayed on the screen.
• Candidates must make the required changes and submit the form

The roll no used for the Prelims exam of UP PCS 2026 will also be used for the Main exam. The process is much easier as most of the details need not be filled in. • Both papers are mandatory. Candidates who qualify in both papers will be eligible to appear for the Main exam of UP PCS.
• Paper 2 is a qualifying paper with a minimum qualifying mark fixed at 33%. 
• The merit of the candidates will be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Paper I of the UP PCS prelims exam.

Exam Pattern of UP PCS 2026

• The exam is pen and paper-based. Hence, answers have to be entered in an OMR sheet.

• The duration of each paper will be three hours.

UP PSC Marking Scheme 2026:

UP PCS 2026 result for the prelims will be declared online on the official website. The UPPSC PCS 2026 result will be declared in the form of a PDF file containing the roll numbers of the qualified candidates. The result of the UP PCS main exam is declared separately for the prelims and mains exams. Only UPPSC 2026 prelims qualified candidates are called for the mains exam.

The cut off of the UP PCS exam is released after the declaration of the final result. The cutoff is published in online mode in the form of a PDF file. UPPSC PCS Cut-off marks for the preliminary exam will be determined out of 200 marks of paper 1. 

Similarly, UPPSC PCS 2026 Cutoff marks for the mains exam will be calculated out of 1500 marks. The final cut-off of UP PSC will be issued by UPPSC by considering the marks scored by candidates in the mains as well as the interview process.
