UPSC CAPF Exam Pattern 2020 - UPSC releases the exam pattern of CAPF 2020 along with its notification. The UPSC CAPF 2020 exam pattern is prescribed by the Union Public Service Commission for the Central Armed Police Forces exam 2020. The UPSC CAPF exam pattern 2020 provides all the important details like marking scheme, the total number of questions, time duration, number of sections and negative marking. Candidates planning to appear in the UPSC CAPF 2020 exam, must check the exam pattern before filling the application form. The exam pattern of UPSC CAPF 2020 contains 2 papers. Paper 1 will be General ability and intelligence and paper 2 will be General studies, essay and comprehension. Paper 1 will be MCQ-based while paper 2 will be descriptive in nature. Candidates qualifying the stage 1 of the UPSC CAPF 2020 will be eligible to appear for the subsequent stages.

According to the exam pattern of UPSC CAPF 2020 exam, the second stage of the selection process consists of Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards TestsPhysical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Candidates who qualify the written exam (stage 1) are eligible to appear for stage 2 which includes a 100, 800 meters race, long jump and shot put. Candidates qualifying stage 2 will be eligible to appear for Medical Standards Tests.
Stage 2 is conducted in front of a Nodal Authority which is appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Those candidates who qualify stage 2 will be eligible to appear for Interview, which is the final stage of the UPSC CAPF selection process.
If any candidate is not satisfied by the medical examination, they can appeal against it within a period of 15 days before the declaration of result.

There are 2 papers in UPSC CAPF stage 1.
Paper 1 which is MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) based consists of 125 questions of 2 marks each making it 250 marks. There is negative marking 0.33 marks (one-third of the total marks allotted to the question).
Paper 2 is descriptive in nature and consists of 200 marks. There will be 6 questions in paper 2.
The Interview/Personality Test consists of 150 marks.
