CAPF Exam Pattern 2019 - The exam pattern of CAPF has been prescribed by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). CAPF exam pattern 2019 provides details like marking scheme, the total number of questions, time duration and the number of sections. CAPF 2019 exam pattern has 3 stages – stage 1 written exam, stage 2 Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests and stage 3 Interview/ Personality test.
Stage 1 written exam comprises of 2 papers - paper 1 is General ability and intelligence and paper 2 General studies, essay and comprehension. The written exam of CAPF comprises of 2 paper - paper 1 General Ability and Intelligence and paper 2 General Studies, Essay and Comprehension.
CAPF Exam Pattern 2019 – Paper 1
The paper 1 of CAPF is General Ability and Intelligence test to check the candidates' awareness on the topics like current events of National and International Importance, History of India, Economy Indian Polity, World Geography etc. It has objective type questions carrying 250 marks. Candidates can answer the questions either in English or Hindi. The time allotted to answer the questions is 120 minutes. The paper 1 exam is held in the morning shift from 10 a.m. to 12.00 noon. There is negative marking in this section. For each incorrect answer, 1/3 mark is deducted from total marks.
CAPF Exam Pattern 2019 – Paper 2
The paper 2 General Studies, Essay and Comprehension of CAPF exam is subjective in nature. Candidates have to answer the questions like essay writing, report writing, comprehension and passage etc. it carries 250 marks conducted for 3 hours. The paper 2 is generally held in the afternoon between 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. there is no negative mark for this section.

In the second stage of the selection process, candidates who declared qualified in written exam are eligible to appear for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Physical standards test includes 100, 800 meters race, long jump and shot put. Candidates qualifying PST will be eligible to appear for Medical Standards Tests.
Nodal Authority appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs conducts the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Candidates who are declared qualified by the Nodal Authority will be eligible to appear for Interview.
If a candidate has any appeals regarding medical examination, he/she can appeal against it within a period of 15 days before the declaration of the result.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Interview/Personality Test for candidates who are medically fit. As per CAPF exam pattern CAPF interview carries 150 marks.
