Union Public Service Commission will soon release the UPSC CAPF 2026 notification on the official website, upsc.gov.in/ upsconline.nic.in. Candidates can access the UPSC CAPF application form 2026 along with the notification. The UPSC CAPF exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 19, 2026.
As per the CAPF eligibility criteria, candidates between 20 and 25 years applied for the CAPF exam. Candidates must have a graduation degree to apply for the CAPF exam 2026. Those preparing for the CAPF exam must check the syllabus for effective preparation. Aspirants can also practise the previous year's CAPF question papers. As per the CAPF exam pattern, the written exam comprises two papers from General Ability & Intelligence and General Studies, Essay & Comprehension.

UPSC conducts Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (ACs) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The selection process of CAPF exam 2026 comprises written exam, physical efficiency test and personal interview. Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for personal interview.

The Commission will soon activate the UPSC CAPF 2026 application form at upsc.gov.in. Candidates can fill UPSC CAPF application form 2026 in 2 parts – Part 1 and Part 2. The application fees can be paid offline and online through Visa/ RuPay/ Credit/ Master/ Debit Card, Net banking and through Bank challan. The male candidates belonging to OBC and the General category have to pay Rs. 200 for the application form while ST/SC and female candidates are exempted from fee payment.
Steps to fill CAPF 2026 Application Form
Part 1 – One Time Registration
In part 1 of the CAPF registration form 2026, candidates have to fill the basic details including name, educational qualification, father’s name, etc. In this stage, the registration ID and password is generated which helps candidates to log in while filling out part 2 of the registration form, admit card etc.
Part 2 – Application
To proceed to CAPF part 2 registration, candidates have to login with the ID and password generated and select the mode of payment, exam centres and upload the scanned signature and photograph. Check below the dimension and specifications of the signature and photograph.

Detailed Application Form (DAF) of UPSC CAPF
As per CAPF notification, candidates who qualify Medical examination have to fill the detailed application form to appear in Personality Test/Interview. To fill the detailed application form, candidates have to log in through the login ID/roll number, password and enter the captcha code. The paper 1 of UPSC CAPF will have General Ability and Intelligence test to check the candidates' awareness on the topics like current events of National and International Importance, History of India, Economy Indian Polity, World Geography etc. Paper 1 comprises of objective type questions carrying 250 marks. the mode of question paper will be in English or Hindi. Candidates will be given 120 minutes to answer the questions. The paper 1 exam will be held in the morning shift from 10 a.m. to 12.00 noon. As per marking scheme, there will be negative marking in this section. For each incorrect answer, 1/3 mark is deducted from total marks.

The paper 2 of UPSC CAPF comprises of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension and will be subjective in nature. Candidates will have to answer questions like essay writing, report writing, comprehension and passage etc. The total marks allotted to paper 2 will be 250 and the exam will be conducted for 3 hours. Paper 2 will be held in the afternoon between 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. There is no scheme of negative mark for this section.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases the UPSC CAPF admit card 2026. In order to download the admit card candidates have to enter their roll number/registration ID, date of birth and security code. UPSC releases CAPF admit card for written exam, PST/PET and Interview/ Personality test separately.
The admit card of PST/PET and medical standards are released for the candidates who will qualify the written exam. CAPF admit card contains details such as candidate’s name, date of birth, father’s name, exam date and time and venue of examination centre mentioned in the admit card.
The answer key of UPSC CAPF will be released by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Through the answer key, candidates will be able to check the correct answers against their marked answers and calculate the estimated score. If a candidate finds any discrepancies in the answer key, he/she can challenge answers provided in the answer key and ask the commission to recheck the answers.
The UPSC CAPF result 2026 is declared on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC CAPF result PDF contains the roll numbers of the candidates who qualify for the exam. Qualified candidates are eligible to appear in PST/PET and the medical examination, where the commission releases the list of qualified candidates.
The commission will also release the final list of candidates after adding the marks of the interview/personality test and written examination. The result of CAPF is released separately for the written exam, PST/PET and medical standards and the personality test/interview.
UPSC will release the cut off in two 2 stages for CAPF exam 2026 – Written and final cut off. Candidates have to secure marks above or equal to minimum qualifying marks released by the commission to be eligible for the next round of selection process. CAPF cut off 2026 is released after the conclusion of the selection process. Candidates who secure the cut off of written exam are eligible to appear for personality test/interview.
