which degree we should opt for upsc exam?

Papeya Dubey Student Expert 12th Feb, 2020
Hello,

There's no such thing as best degree for UPSC,the reason because in the past years if we look at the top candidates who qualified have been from different background whether it's engineering, arts, medical or anything else. Also, there have been many toppers taking science subjects as optional and still passing the exam. So,taking optional depends to a large extent to one's interest level because it requires a huge level of studies, almost graduate level studies.

Yes, there's no doubt that UPSC is more inclined towards humanities subject whether it's history, geography, economics, polity etc. But,people from different background have qualified this in the past and continue to do so.
