IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2019 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) releases the exam pattern of IBPS SO via its official notification. So, IBPS SO exam pattern 2019 will be available once the notification is out in the first week of November 2019. IBPS SO 2019 prelims exam is slated to be held on December 28 and 29, 2019, while the mains exam will be conducted on January 25, 2019. The exam pattern of IBPS SO helps aspirants to understand the mode of the exam, language, marking scheme, type and number of questions, etc. It’s advisable to go through the IBPS SO exam pattern 2019 before planning the preparation part to understand it well. IBPS SO Exam Pattern (Prelims)

It must be noted that IBPS SO exam pattern for different posts is different. For example, the exam pattern of Law Officers and Rajbhasha Adhikari is different than the exam pattern of prelims for IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer.

The mains exam pattern of IBPS SO 2019 for Law Officers, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer is same, while that of Rajbhasha Adhikari is different.

IBPS SO Prelims Exam Pattern 2019

  • For the exam pattern of Law Officers and Rajbhasha Adhikari posts, the prelims exam has three sections – English, General awareness with special reference to Banking Industry and Reasoning. 
  • Each section has 50 questions, which makes it a total of 150 questions. 
  • Each question in General awareness with special reference to Banking Industry and Reasoning, is of 1 mark, while each question in English is of .5 marks. 
  • There’s sectional time limit of 40 minutes to complete each section. Total time for the paper is 2 hours.

IBPS SO Paper Pattern 2019 for Prelims 

  • IBPS SO preliminary exam pattern 2019 for IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer has three sections – Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English. 
  • Except English, both the sections have 50 questions each for 50 marks, while English has 50 questions for 25 marks. 
  • Each correct answer in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning will get 1 mark, while each right answer in English will get .5 marks. 
  • The sectional time limit of 40 minutes is applicable for these posts as well.
  • The time allotted for these posts is also 2 hours.
