Cut Off for UGC NET - National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NTA UGC NET cut off in the form of PDF along with the announcement of the result at nta.ac.in The cut off of UGC NET will be released for all the 101 subjects for which the test is held. The authorities will release a separate cut off of UGC NET for both Lecturship and for JRF. Candidates securing the cut off as per their categories will be considered UGC NET qualified. Before securing UGC NET cut off score, candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks. As per the qualifying cut off of UGC NET, candidates must secure at least 40% (general) and 35% (OBC NCL, SC/ST/PWD and Transgender) in both paper I and II. Candidates considered qualified in UGC NET result will be issued the eligibility certificate. The authorities will release the cut off UGC NET twice a year - June and December since the test is held twice.
UGC NET 2020 exam for June session dates will be announced later on the website. Candidates can fill the UGC NET application form 2020 in online mode from March 16 to May 31. As per UGC NET exam pattern, the test will be held for two papers - paper I and II wherein paper I is for 100 marks while paper II is of 200 marks. The test is held to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Assistant Professors and to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). There are certain factors that are considered while preparing the category wise NET cut off. Some of the factors are:

In order to shortlist the candidates, the authrotites release the cut off of UGC NET. The cut offs are released as:

The authorities will release the cut off of UGC NET separately for each category. Candidates who secure the UGC NET cut off as per their category will be considered qualified.
Before securing the cut off released along with the result, candidates must secure the qualifying marks. The UGC NET qualifying marks are mentioned in the test notification PDF. As per the qualifying marks, candidates belonging to the general category must secure 40 % marks in both the papers while the candidates belonging to the reserved categories must secure at least 35% marks in both paper I and II. NTA will announce the UGC NET 2020 result a few days after the exam in online mode at the official website of NTA. Candidates will be able to check the result by entering application number and date of birth. Only those candidates who will score the minimum cut off of UGC NET will be considered qualified. The UGC NET December 2024 examination , administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) was conducted from January 3 to January 16, 2025. The exam comprised two papers :
Paper 1 : Assessed general teaching and research aptitude , covering areas such as reasoning ability, comprehension and general awareness.
Paper 2 : Focused on subject-specific knowledge with History being one of the subjects offered.
As of now , the official question papers for the December 2024 cycle are not yet available on the NTA's official website . However , candidates can access previous years question papers to aid in their preparation .
