RPF Exam Pattern 2018 – The exam pattern of RPF 2018 indicates the exam mode, number of questions, sections, marking scheme and duration. According to RPF exam pattern 2018, the computer-based test (CBT) will consists of 120 questions that candidates have to answer within 90 minutes. Total marks allotted for the computer-based test is 120. Questions will be asked from General Awareness, Arithmetic and General Intelligence and Reasoning. As per marking scheme, candidates for correct answer will score 1 mark while 1/3 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. RPF 2018 Exam Pattern of Computer Based Test
The Computer Based Test of RPF will be held across various centres throughout the country. The CBT will be held in 15 languages, out of which candidates have to choose one while fill RPF application form. The languages for CBT are – Hindi, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujurati, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Manipuri and Punjabi. The online test booklet will consist of 120 questions and total marks of the exam is 120. The qualifying marks for general and OBC candidates is 35% while it is 30% for SC and ST. Candidates are shortlisted for PET and PMT based on merit. Shortlisting of candidates are done 10 times the number of vacancies as per category. PET and PMT is qualifying in nature and candidates will not be awarded any marks. The pattern for PET Constable and Sub-Inspector posts are discussed below separately.

RPF Syllabus 2018
The syllabus of RPF lists out the topics and sub-topics that candidates have to prepare for the exam. The standard of questions for Constable and Sub-Inspector’s post will be of Class 10 and graduation level. Candidates can check RPF 2018 syllabus below.
General Awareness: Questions relating to Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science etc will be asked in this part.
Arithmetic: Number systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and proportion.
General Intelligence & reasoning: Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.
RPF 2018 recruitment is conducted for 9739 vacancies of Constable and Sub-Inspector in RPF and RPSF. The exam will be conducted in September and October 2018. According to RPF selection procedure, candidates qualifying CBT will be called for PET and PMT. On the basis of candidate’s performance in CBT, PET and PMT, they will be called for document verification. Candidates will be selected for final appointment provided they fulfill the medical conditions.
