RPF Constable Result 2018 - Ministry of Railways has released the final merit list of RPF Constable 2018 for Group C and D on August 11, 2019. The final merit list of Group A, B, and F was published on July 15, 2019. RPF Constable 2019 result has been released in the form of PDF. The result of RPF Constable 2018 contains the roll numbers, name, fathers name, date of birth, category, selected against and zone of only the qualified candidates. As per the RPF Constable result, there are 1730 candidates who have qualified for Group A, while for Group B and F, a total of 1139 and 661 have qualified respectively. Earlier, RPF Constable Result 2019 for Group E was announced on May 27. A total of 299 candidates has qualified for Group E. The shortlisted candidates have to now appear for the medical test of RPF Constable, the details of which will be communicated to them through their registered email ID and mobile number.

Candidates who qualify the exam stage are called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). As notified, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the next round of selection process. The total number of vacancies for RPF Constable posts is 8619. RPF CBT was conducted from December 20, 2018 to February 19, 2019. Candidates selected in CBT are eligibile to appear for RPF Constable PET, PMT and DV.

RPF Constable Result 2018 – Calculation of Score

The score of candidates of CBT is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. To calculate the score of candidates, the examination authority follows the marking scheme. The marking scheme has been prescribed by the Ministry of Railways. The process of calculation of score is explained below.

  • The test carries total of 120 marks

  • For correct answer, candidates will score 1 mark

  • There is negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer

Formula for Calculation of Score

Total score = Number of correct answer X 1 – Number of incorrect answer X 1/3

RPF Constable 2018 Result – What is the Qualifying Marks?

The category-wise qualifying marks of RPF Constable recruitment has been announced along with the notification. To qualify the exam, candidates are required the qualifying marks as per their category. The qualifying cut off of RPF Constable is 35% for general and OBC category while that for SC and ST candidates it is 30%.

Will there be normalisation of score?

The examination authority might adopt the normalisation procedure to calculate the scores of candidates. The normalisation procedure is followed when the exam is held in multiple days and sessions. RPF Constable exam will be conducted in multiple sessions therefore, there is a possibility that the normalisation process will be followed while calculating the scores. RPF Constable result will be declared based on the normalised scores.

What after the declaration of RPF Constable Result 2018?

Based on the merit of candidates in CBT, candidates are called for PET and PMT. The PET & PMT is qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded to candidates in this test. On the basis of the performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying PET and PMT, candidates will be selected for document verification. Appointment of candidates will be done provided they pass the requisite medical fitness test.

RPF Constable Cut off 2018

The cut off of RPF for CBT will be announced by the Ministry of Railways. It is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates will have to score to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process i.e PET and PMT. Besides the qualifying marks, candidates will also have to secure the overall RPF Constable cut off as per their category for selection. The overall cut off is calculated out of the total marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks will be selected for the next round of selection process. Candidates can check below the previous years’ RPF Cut off.
