About TG TET 2026
The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, activated the TGTET 2026 application form link on April 15, 2026, on the official website at tgtet.aptonline.in. The last date to fill out the TG TET application form 2026 is April 30, 2026. Earlier, the TGTET notification 2026 for the June session was released on April 13, 2026, on the official website at tgtet.aptonline.in. Candidates can start downloading the complete TGTET 2026 notification from April 15, 2026, onwards.
All the candidates who have successfully submitted the application can download their TGTET admit card 2026 from June 9, 2026. The exam conducting authority has released the TGTET 2026 exam dates for the June session on the official website. As per the notice, the TGTET exam is to be held from June 15 to 30, 2026. The TGTET result 2026 for june session will be declared from July 28 to 31, 2026.
The authorities conduct TG TET to qualify candidates as teachers for the state. DSE, Telangana, conducts the TG TET 2026 exam to qualify candidates for the role of teachers in two categories – classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8.
Based on the categories, the candidates who want to teach will have to appear in either Paper 1 (for classes 1 - 5) or Paper 2 (for classes 6 – 8). However, candidates aspiring to teach both categories will have to take both papers. The body has prescribed the qualifying cutoff for each category. Candidates securing equal to or more than the qualifying cutoff will be considered as having qualified for the examination.

TG TET Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (session 2026)
The result of TGTET 2026 for the June session will be declared by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, from July 28 to 31, 2026. The TGTET 2026 result is declared in online mode, and candidates can check their results using their hall ticket number. On entering the admit card number, the result will be displayed on the screen. TGTET result 2026 contains details such as the candidates’ names, roll number, marks obtained in the exam.

Paper 1
To be eligible for TS TET 2026, candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% and hold 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education or 2 year Diploma in Education
Paper 2
As per the eligibility criteria of TS TET 2026 for Paper 2, candidates should hold BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com degree with a minimum of 50% and Bachelor of Education

To apply for the exam, candidates need to provide all information in the application form, such as personal, academic, and contact details. After filling in all the information, candidates had to pay the application fee.

Paper 1

Candidates applying for the category of class 1 to 5 will need to appear for Paper 1. The paper consists of 150 marks and is held for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. All the questions asked in Paper 1 will be objective type questions. According to the marking scheme of TS TET 2026, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct response. Negative marking has not been made applicable in the test.

Candidates can download the TGTET admit card 2026 using their Journal number and date of birth. The TGTET admit card contains information including name, photograph, and signature of the candidate, roll number, category, date, time, and venue of examination, exam day guidelines, etc.

Documents Required at TG TET 2026 counselling
Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test 2026
Candidates are declared to have qualified TG TET by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana on the basis of two papers – Paper 1 and 2. Candidates aspiring to become teachers for the category of class 1 to 5 need to appear in Paper 1 while candidates wishing to be teachers for category class 6 to 8 will have to opt for Paper 2. However, candidates who wants to apply for both the categories need to appear in both Paper 1 and 2.
Candidates are deemed eligible by the conducting body on the basis of marks secured by candidates. The conducting body has prescribed the category-wise minimum qualifying cut off for the exam. Candidates securing equal to or more than the TG TET cut off are considered as qualified.
