RPF Result 2018 – The result of RPF for Computer Based Test (CBT) will be declared by Ministry of Railways in March, 2019. RPF result will be available online in PDF format. RPF result 2018 will carry candidate’s name, roll number and date of birth of qualified candidates. Based on RPF 2018 result of CBT, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies for will be selected for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV).

Total 9739 vacancies have been announced for Constable and Sub-Inspector’s posts. Approximately, 97390 candidates will be selected for PET and PMT.  RPF result 2018 for PET and PMT will be declared in July, 2019. The RPF final result will be declared in November, 2019. How to check RPF Result 2018?

The result will be declared online. The roll numbers of candidates selected for subsequent stages of selection process will be made available in PDF format. The PDF file link of RPF result will be provided on this page. The steps to check the result are explained below:

Step 2: In a new page, the PDF file of result will open

Step 3: Press Ctrl+F to search roll numbers

Step 4: Candidates having their roll numbers in the result PDF file are shortlisted for next stage

Step 5: Download and take its printout

Details in RPF 2018 Result

The result of RPF will contain the following details:

  • Serial number

  • Candidate’s name

  • Roll number

  • Date of birth 

RPF Result 2018 – CBT

The result of RPF will be declared tentatively in March 2019. RPF result for CBT will be declared for those candidates who secure qualifying marks in the exam. The qualifying marks for CBT is 35% for general and OBC category while it is 30 % for SC and ST. Candidates have to qualify in each paper - General Awareness, Arithmetic and General Intelligence & reasoning as per RPF result 2018. Candidates for the correct answer will score 1 while 1/3 will be deducted for wrong answer. On the basis of candidate’s merit, they will be selected for next round of selection process. Though candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for PET and PMT, however, this may increase or decrease depending on the availability of candidates.

RPF Result 2018 – PET and PMT

The result of RPF for PET and PMT will be declared in July 2019 tentatively. PET and PMT will be conducted for candidates qualifying the CBT. This stage is qualifying in nature however it is mandatory to pass PET and PMT. Candidates will not be awarded any marks in this stage as per RPF result 2018. Based on the performance of candidates in CBT and subjected to their qualifying in PET and PMT, they are called for Document Verification.

RPF Result 2018 - Final Allotment

The final RPF result is likely to be declared in November 2019 after document verification. Candidates selected for document verification have to undergo the medical fitness test. Appointment to the post of Constable and Sub-Inspector will be offered to candidates who clear the medical test. Candidates will be allotted zones of RPF/RPSF based on their merit and choice.

RPF Result 2018 - Tie Breaking Policy

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position will be determined by age which means the person who is older will be given more preference. 

RPF 2018 Cutoff 

The cutoff of RPF recruitment is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process. Candidates have to secure overall and sectional cutoff to qualify the CBT. On the basis of RPF cutoff for CBT, suitable candidates will be selected for PET and PMT.
