As per RPF Eligibility Criteria 2025, candidates of age an group between 20 to 25 years are eligible for Sub-inspector post while the age limit for constable post is 18 to 25 years. RPF Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Relaxation in age
Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be able to avail relaxation in the upper age limit for the RPF exam. The category-wise age relaxation has been provided in the table below.

RPF Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Educational Qualification
The educational qualification required for RPF Constable’s recruitment is Class 10 while it is graduation in case of RPF Sub-Inspector post. Candidates yet to receive their final result of Class 10/ graduation are not eligible to apply for the exams according to RPF eligibility criteria.

RPF Eligibility Criteria 2025- Reservation
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories must submit requisite documents during RPF document verification to avail reservation.
- Candidates will be considered against unreserved vacancies subject to fulfilling the RPF eligibility criteria irrespective of the category they belong to.
- Against the vacancies for specific reserved communities (SC, ST, OBC-NCL) candidates belonging to other categories will not be considered.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories who fulfill required educational qualification can apply for unreserved RPF vacancies as well. In such cases, candidates will have to compete with the unreserved category (general) candidates during the course of the selection process.
- Reserved category candidates applying under unreserved categories will not be able to utilize relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates.
