Osmania University released the TS SET 2024 application form on May 14, 2024 on the official website, telanganaset.org. The last day to submit the TS SET application form 2024 is by July 2, 2024. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria and apply for the TS SET exam. The conducting authority also released a TS SET application form correction window for 2 days ie, July 28, 29, 2024.
TS SET is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of Telangana State Government. All candidates who hold Master Degree with not less than 50% marks can apply for TS SET. The exam of TS SET is conducted for two papers – paper I and paper II to test the candidates on their knowledge of General Studies and other 29 subjects.
Paper I contains 50 questions whereas paper II contains 100 questions. Both the papers carry questions of 2 marks each. Candidates are given 1 hour for paper I while 2 hours are given to the candidates to complete paper II. TS SET exam is conducted across the state at 10 regional centres for the recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors in Degree colleges and universities in Telangana.

The TS SET eligibility criteria 2024 has been released in the official notification. The eligibility criteria of TS SET is determined by the exam conducting authority on the basis of age, education qualification and nationality of the candidates. Candidates must meet the 2024 eligibility criteria of TS SET before they fill the application form. The TS SET Eligibility criteria 2024 based on education is the minimum qualification that candidates must have in order to apply for the exam.
Eligibility Criteria of TS SET on the basis of Age
The exam conducting authority has not determined any upper age limit for TS SET.
TS SET Eligibility Criteria – Education Qualification
Candidates must hold Master Degree with at least 55% marks from recognized University. For those who belong to reserved category – OBC, SC, ST, and PWD must have scored 50% for the same.
Candidates who are in final year of their Master Degree or their result is awaited can also apply for TS TET provided they complete their degree within 2 years from the date of declaration of TS SET result.
Candidates who have PhD degree must have completed their Master Degree before September 19, 1992, with 50% (5% relaxation is provided).
Osmania university released the TS SET application form 2024 on May 14, 2024 in online mode at telanganaset.org. The last day to submit the TS SET 2024 application form is July 2, 2024. Candidates must fulfill all the eligibility criteria determined by the examination authority before they fill the application form of TS SET. Along with filling of application form of TS SET, candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee without which the form will not be accepted. The TS SET application form correction window 2024 can be done on July 28, 29, 2024.
The conducting authority also released a TS SET application form late fee charges.

TS SET Application Form – Registration
Candidates must click on the application form link and fill in their name, date of birth, e-mail ID, phone number etc. A registration number and password will be generated which will be sent to the candidates through e-mail or text message.
TS SET Application Form – Filling of important details
Candidates must fill the application form with all correct details. They can access the application form and make changes is required in the TS SET application form by using their registration number and password. Candidates must remember that they can only make changes in the application form until the final submit.

Further more, candidates are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the application form of TS SET. The signature, photograph and caste certificate must be of the specification determined by the examination authority.
Candidates must follow the guidelines mentioned below to upload the photograph and signature.
The photograph must be passport size of JPG format.
The dimension of the photograph must be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
The picture should be between 20kb to 40 kb.
Signature of the candidates must be in JPG format.
The property of the signature must be between 5 kb to 20 kb and dimensions must be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (Height).
Caste Certificate in JPG format of minimum 50 kb to 300kb
TS SET Application Form – Payment of Application Fees
Along with the filling of application fee of TS SET, candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee. The application fee will not be complete without payment of the fee. The table below contains the category wise application fee that must be paid by the candidates.
Candidates must pay the application in online mode using debit card or credit card.
TS SET Application Form – Final submission
The application form of TS SET must be submitted after filling the detail and payment of application fee. Candidates can make any changes or modification in the application form of TS SET during the TS SET Application form correction window.

TS SET Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of TS SET includes the different papers for which the exam is conducted, number of questions, duration of the exam, and total marks.

As per TS SET exam pattern, there are 50 objective type compulsory questions of 2 marks each asked in the exam. Paper I will contain questions which will be asked to assess their teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, divergent thinking, comprehension, and general awareness.
There are 100 objective type compulsory questions.
Each questions in paper II will carry 2 marks each.
The questions will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete paper II.

To prepare for TS SET, candidates need a preparation plan that is easy to follow and ensures that they get good results out of it. Candidates must know the exam pattern and TS SET 2024 syllabus before starting the preparations for the exam. Paper I of TS SET is designed to test the candidates of their research ability, teaching ability, reasoning ability, comprehension and general awareness. Paper II contains questions of the subject opted by the candidate. Some preparation tips for TS SET are given below.
The TS SET 2024 admit card will be issued by the exam conducting authority in online mode from August 20, 2024 onwards. TS SET admit card will be issued only to those candidates who successfully fill the application form. Candidates can download TS SET admit card 2024 by entering their registration number, password, and security key in the login window. The admit card of TS SET reflects candidates name, photograph, date of birth, day and time of exam, venue and other important instructions related to the exam.
A print out of TS SET 2024 admit card must be taken and carried to the exam centre on the exam day. Along with the admit card of TS SET, candidates must also carry one of the prescribed photo identity proofs – aadhaar card, voters ID card, PAN card, passport and driving license.
The exam conducting authority will release the official TS SET answer key 2024 for all the subjects for which the exam is conducted. TS SET answer key is released after the exam is conducted. Candidates can refer to the answer key of TS SET in order to get all the correct answers to the exam conducted. By referring to the TS SET 2024 answer key, candidates can calculate their expected marks and thus predict their chances to qualify the exam.
The TS SET 2024 result will be declared by Osmania University. TS SET result 2024 is declared in PDF format. The result of TS SET reflects the roll numbers of only those candidates who qualify in the exam. Candidates can check for their roll number in the result PDF by pressing Ctrl+F and entering their respective roll numbers. The candidates who find their roll numbers in the TS SET result PDF are referred to as qualified candidates. Only 6% of the candidates who apply are shortlisted for the post. In order to qualify for Assistant Professor/Lecturer, candidates must score 40% marks taking both papers into consideration. Candidates belonging to reserved category must score at least 35% marks in aggregate. Apart from scoring the minimum qualifying marks determined by the examination authority, candidates must also score category wise minimum cut off marks in order to be shortlisted.
The TS SET cut off 2024 will be released by the exam conducting authority along with the declaration of the result. The TS SET 2024 cut off is the minimum marks that must be obtained by the candidates in order to qualify the exam. The exam conducting authority releases the category wise and subject wise cut off of TS SET. Candidates who score equal to or more than the category wise and subject wise cut off of TS SET are considered as qualified candidates. The exam conducting authority determines the TS SET cut off 2024 by taking various factors into consideration - number of candidates appeared in the exam, availability of vacancies, and difficulty level of the question paper.

The TS SET exam can be attempted for candidates who wish to work as lecturers or professors in universities or college in the state of Telangana.
