UPPSC Eligibility Criteria 2018 – Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) decides the UPPSC eligibility for Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Range Forest Officer. UPPSC eligibility criteria 2018 includes requirements based on age, category of the candidate, marital status, educational qualification, etc. Eligibility criteria of UPPSC 2018 is different for different posts. Eligibility criteria of UPPSC 2018 state that aspirants of age 21 to 40 years (as on July 1, 2018) can apply for PCS. The age limit for physically handicapped candidates is 55 years. Reserved category candidates who are domicile of Uttar Pradesh will be given relaxation on the upper age limit.

(a) Essential qualification: (1) A Bachelor's degree with Hindi as one of the subject from a University established by law in India or a degree recognised by the Government as equivalent. (2) Diploma in Journalism or 5 Years Journalistic experience. (b) Preferential qualification: (1) Experience of writing articles, scripts and features in the news papers and magazines. (2) Bachelors Degree in Journalism from a University established by law in India or any Institution recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. Diploma in Music/Lighting/Acting/Direction etc. from any institute recognized by the Government.
Principals of Government Intermediate Colleges (For Boys or Girls)
(i) A PG degree from a University established by law in India or a degree recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto. (ii) L.T. Diploma of the Department of Education, Uttar Pradesh, or B.T. or B.Ed. Or an equivalent Degree of a University. For the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest and Range Forest Officer candidates need to meet some physical standards as mentioned in the UPPSC Eligibility Criteria 2018.

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and races such as Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, Meghalaya Tribal, Laddakhese, Sikkimese, Bhutanese, Garhwalies, Kumaunies, Nagas and Arunachal Pradesh have different height standards.
Male candidates will have to take 25 km walking test that is supposed to be completed in four hours. Female candidates will take the walking test that will be 14 km long and will have to be completed in the same time duration. This walking test will be applicable for both posts.
As mentioned in the notification released by UPPSC, married men aspiring to appear for the exam cannot do so if they're married to more than one woman at the same time. Female aspirants can't appear in the exam if they're married to such a man.
UPPSC Eligibility Criteria 2018 – For Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers
Emergency Commissioned Officers or Short Service Commissioned Officers can apply for the exam even if they have not been released from the forces or their period of service has been extended for rehabilitation under the following conditions -
These candidates will have to produce a certificate, issued by the Army, Navy or Air Force, stating that their period of service has been extended.
Such candidates also have to submit a written undertaking which must state that if the candidates are selected for the post they have applied for, then they will be released from the forces immediately.
Candidates will not be entertained if (a) he/she gets permanent commission in the forces, (b) he/she has been released from the forces on tendering resignation and (c) he/she has been dispersed from the army for misconduct, physical disability or on his/her own request and if he/she gets gratuity.
These candidates must possess verification of qualification and UPPSC eligibility conditions until the last date of application.
