This is the first stage of RRB Group D. The Computer Based Test consists of 100 questions which are based on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Mathematics. Candidates who qualify this stage according to the RRB Thiruvananthapuram Group D 2020 result will be able to appear for the second stage of the exam, which will be the PET (Physical Efficiency Test). PET, is the second stage of the exam. During the PET, candidates will have to complete the tasks like running, weight lifting etc. It is mandatory to clear this test, as it is qualifying in nature and there are no marks allotted to it. The result of RRB Thiruvananthapuram Group D 2020 for PET will be declared based on candidates performance during the physical test.
RRB will also release the scorecard of RRB Group D along with the result. To check the scorecard candidates will have to enter login into the website using their login credentials. The scorecard will showcase the candidate's name, roll number, normalised marks, pro-rated score, raw marks, post preference, trade and qualifying status. However, the scorecard of RRB Group D will only be available for a specific time period and they will have to download it during that time slot.
As per exam pattern of RRB Group D, candidates will be given 1 mark for each the correct answer while 1/3 mark will be deducted as negative marking per question. The total score of candidates will be calculated on the basis of correct and incorrect responses.
RRB will calculate the pro-rated and raw scores out of 100 marks and normalisation process will be taken into consideration while declaring the RRB Thiruvananthapuram Group D 2020 result, as the exam is conducted across multiple shifts and sessions. The normalised process helps to maintain equality among the difficulty level of question paper sets.
Candidates who successfully qualify the CBT and PET will be called for document verification (DV), the invitation to appear for DV will be based on their performance in CBT. The cutoff marks are prescribed by RRB on the basis of various factors like number vacancies released by RRB for the posts, the difficulty level of exam, and the number of candidates who have filled the application form. Candidates must score equal to or more than the prescribed cut off marks to qualify.

Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(A) A citizen of India, or
(B) A subject of Nepal, or
(C) A subject of Bhutan, or
(D) Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(E) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RRB Educational Qualification:
The railway board has set a minimum level of education qualification that a candidate must possess in order to appear for the RRB Group D level 1 examination.
