The qualifying marks of CBT is announced by RRB in its notification, the qualifying marks for general category is 40% while that for SC, ST and OBC it is 30%.
The score of CBT is calculated as per the following criteria:
The test carries total 100 objective type questions and the total marks allotted are also 100, each question is of 1 mark.
For each wrong answer, 1/3 marks are deducted as negative marking.
The raw score of candidates is calculated by taking into consideration their correct and incorrect responses.
RRB adopts the normalisation procedure to calculate the score of candidates, as the exam is conducted across multiple shifts. The normalisation of the score is done to adjust the difficulty level of question paper sets. The result is declared after normalisation of scores.
Apart from the result, RRB also releases the scorecard of RRB Group D for CBT. To check the scorecard, candidates will have to login into their respective account to download the scorecard.
Candidates qualified in the CBT as per the RRB Chennai Group D 2020 result will be selected for PET (Physical Efficiency Test) where they will have to go through physical fitness exams. Clearing the PET is mandatory however it is qualifying in nature and carries no marks. In PET, candidates will be given a task to run and lift heavy equipment. This task will be part of their job post recruitment.
Candidates qualifying the PET will be called for document verification (DV). Appointment of candidates will be done subjected to their clearing the medical fitness test. While preparing the merit list, in case two candidates secure the same position, the candidates who are older in age will be placed higher in the rank and will be given preference in the merit list.
The cutoff marks of RRB Group D is the minimum marks prescribed by the exam conducting body that candidates need to score in order to qualify the exam. To qualify the RRB Group D exam, candidates must score equal to or more than the cut off marks. The cutoff marks are released region-wise and category-wise by RRB.

The salary of Group D is Rs. 18000 while the in-hand salary can be anything around Rs. 20000-25000 (including allowances and benefits).

See RRB in general have a generalized pattern among all of it examinations. So if you prepare for RPF SI it would be more helpful for you to clear RRB Group D. I would recommend you to target the examination which is a level harder than what you target and believe me this increases the possibility.

RRB/ RRC Group-D 2020 examinations will begin from 15th December 2020.
Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(A) A citizen of India, or
(B) A subject of Nepal, or
(C) A subject of Bhutan, or
(D) Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(E) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit
Candidates should be between 18 to 33 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories
RRB Educational Qualification:
The railway board has set a minimum level of education qualification that a candidate must possess in order to appear for the RRB Group D level 1 examination.

RRB Medical Standards:
Like educational qualification, the railway board has prescribed the RRB Group D medical requisites in the notification. Candidates who are called for DV – document verification have to pass the required medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration.
