IOCL Recruitment 2018 - Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has started the recruitment process for 1341 Apprentices in Refineries Division. The interested candidates can apply for IOCL Recruitment 2018 from October 16 to November 9. The admit card is expected to be released by the second week of November 2018. The exam will be held as a written test on November 18. The result of the written test will be declared on November 27. The personal interview will be held from December 5 to 12.

IOCL Recruitment 2018 Notification for 1341 posts
The IOCL has announced recruitment for 1341 Posts in IOCL Refineries Division – Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Other Branch Diploma Holders, B.Sc Graduates & ITI Diploma Holders. The application process has started. Candidates can apply till November 9. Selection shall be on the basis of performance in Written Test of two hours duration & Personal Interview. The ratio of marks for Written Test and interview shall be 85:15 and a candidate will have to secure minimum 40% marks at each stage for qualifying the selection process. The minimum qualifying marks will be relaxed by 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories considered against reserved positions at each stage of the selection process.

The application form for Apprentices in Pipelines Division is available online. Before applying for any post candidates must keep ready an active email ID and mobile phone number. The candidates should have documents/certificates pertaining to age, qualification, caste, experience, Disability Certificate, (where applicable), scanned copy of colour photograph and signature in jpg format (size not exceeding 50 KB) ready before applying online.
Application fees: General and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs.150 through SBI e-collect only.

IOCL Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of IOCL Recruitment for various posts is prescribed by IOCL. Candidates who wish to apply must fulfil the eligibility requirement as per their post applied.
Age Limit: Candidates should be 24 years as on September 19, 2018
Relaxation for SC/ST candidates is upto 5 years and OBC candidates is 3 years.
PwBD candidates is given 10 years relaxation (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC candidates)
PwBD / EXM candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC candidates will be granted also a relaxation.
Age relaxation of a period will be provided as per candidate’s experience.

IOCL Recruitment Exam Pattern 2018
- IOCL releases the exam pattern for various posts. The exam pattern includes total number of questions, duration of exam, subjects, total marks. Duration of Written Test shall be of 120 minute
- The selection process would consist of two stages i.e Written Test & Personal Interview.
- The written test shall be of 85 marks and interview shall be of 15 marks.
- Written Test shall be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) consisting of 4 options with one correct option. Each correct answer shall carry 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
- The Question Paper/Test either in English or Hindi language. Candidates will have to qualify each stage of the selection process i.e. Written Test and Personal Interview. Minimum qualifying marks in Written Test and Interview is 40% separately.
In Technical trade, from the total 85 objective type questions, about 60 questions shall be from the concerned discipline of Diploma level and about 25 questions on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Knowledge etc. For the Trade Apprentice (Accountant), out of total 85 objective type questions, about 60 questions shall be from general accounts/commerce/finance and about 25 questions on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Knowledge etc. For the Trade Apprentice (AssistantHuman Resource), 85 objective type questions shall be on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Knowledge/awareness etc.

IOCL Recruitment Selection Procedure 2018
The selection of IOCL Recruitment 2018 will comprise written test and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) which will be qualifying nature.
A candidate will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written test to qualify for further consideration.
The minimum qualifying marks in the written test will be relaxed by 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories considered against reserved positions.
Shortlisted candidates, in the ratio of 1:2 (two candidates for one post, with due cognizance to number of reserved posts) subject to securing minimum qualifying marks in the written test, will be required to undergo a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT).
In case of tie of marks in the written test for the last position of the shortlisted candidates, all such candidates shall be called for the SPPT, even if the total number exceeds the prescribed ratio.
If such a situation arises anywhere before the last position while drawing a list, the last name/last few names, in proportion to the prescribed ratio, will get eliminated.
Category-wise merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written test
The merit list will be released only for such candidates who qualify in the SPPT.
In case of tie of marks for the last position on the merit list, candidate elder by age shall find a place in the merit list. However, the name of the younger candidate will also be retained in the said merit list, as the last name.
If such a situation arises anywhere before the last position while drawing a list, the last few names in the list, in proportion to the prescribed ratio, will get eliminated.
