UPSC ESE Notification 2019 - Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Engineering Services Examination (ESE) for the candidates who have a bachelor's degree in Engineering. Through UPSC ESE exam, candidates are recruited to Group A and B posts in Indian Ordinance Factories, Indian Railway, Indian Skill Development Service, Central Water Engineering Service etc. UPSC has conducted the preliminary exam on January 6, 2019. The admit card of UPSC ESE was available from December 12 to January 6.
UPSC had released the withdrawal window facility for the candidates who had filled the application form and want to withdraw their application form. UPSC ESE application form 2019 was available online from September 26, 2018. The last day to apply for UPSC ESE application form 2019 was October 22. The application form was filled in two parts. Part 1 included registration and filling up basic details while in part 2 candidates had to select the mode of payment, pay the requisite fee, upload scanned photograph and signature.

UPSC ESE Notification 2019 - Exam Pattern
As per the exam pattern of UPSC ESE, the exam will be conducted in three stages – prelims, mains and personality test. Prelims exam consists of two paper where paper 1 carries 200 marks while paper 2 has 300 marks. There are two papers for mains exam- paper 1 and 2 as per specific disciplines. Both the paper carry 300 each while the personality test is conducted for 200 marks.
UPSC ESE Notification 2019 - Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of UPSC ESE includes 3 stages- preliminary exam, mains exam and personality test. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of cut off released by the commission. The final list is prepared for the candidates who qualify the personality test by adding the marks of prelims, mains and personality test. Based on the marks obtained, all India merit list is prepared for the recruitment of various posts.
