UPSC Civil Services Application Form 2019 – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the application form of UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam on February 19 along with the notification. The last date to fill online UPSC Civil Services application form 2019 Prelims is March 18, 2019. The application fee of UPSC Civil Services for mains examination is Rs. 100 for General and OBC category candidates. However, SC, ST and women applicants are exempted from paying the fee of UPSC Civil Services application form 2019. UPSC Civil Services 2019 Prelims is scheduled to be conducted from June 2.
After the conduct of Prelims, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for UPSC CS Mains 2019 subject to them qualifying Prelims. Candidates selected for Mains exam will have to fill Detailed Application Form (DAF). Candidates successfully filling the Detailed Application Form of UPSC Civil Services will be issued admit card of UPSC Civil Services for Mains.

UPSC Civil Services Application Form 2019 – Prelims
The application form of UPSC Civil Services for Prelims will be released online on February 19. Candidates can fill the application form till March 18, 2019. Candidates can fill the application form in two stages – Part 1 and Part 2. The first part of the application form comprises registration process. In this part, candidates will have to furnish personal, educational and contact information. Part 2 requires choosing of exam centre, uploading photograph and signature and payment of fee. Candidates applying successfully for the exam will be issued admit card for UPSC Civil Services prelims. The application fee for prelims is Rs. 100 for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories while female, SC and ST applicants are exempted from paying fee.
Candidates can pay the application fee online using SBI net banking, credit card/debit card or through cash via SBI bank challan. Candidates must pay the application fee before the date prescribed by the Commission failing which they will be considered under fictitious payment cases. Candidates submitting more than one application must make sure that only the completed final application form devoid of errors have been given for final submission.
UPSC Civil Services Application Form 2019 for Mains exam
Candidates qualifying prelims will be able to fill Detailed Application Form (DAF). Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) category must also fill OBC proforma along with the detailed application form of UPSC 2019. While filling UPSC Civil Services 2019 application form for prelims, candidates should be careful as they will not be allowed to make changes in the following fields – exam centre, optional subject, Indian language paper (Paper-A) and medium of examination in the Detailed Application Form. Before submitting the application form, candidates must ensure that the DAF has been filled properly as candidates providing incorrect information or incomplete application form will not be considered for Mains and their candidature will be cancelled. Candidates should submit required documents along with the DAF. Candidates must also indicate the services of interest in order of preference. Once the preferences have been submitted, candidates will not be permitted to make further changes regarding the same.

Q. Can I change the date of birth provided in the application form of UPSC CSE 2019 as it does not correspond with the date provided in my Class 10 Board certificate?
Ans: Candidates must ensure that date of birth provided during filling of application form must match with that mentioned in the class 10 boards certificate as the Commission will not entertain request for changes in the same.
Q. I belong to SC category. Will I need to pay fee for the Detailed Application Form?
Ans: Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories as well as women applicants are not required to pay the application fee.
Q. What if I do not pay the application fee of UPSC Civil Services application form 2019?
Ans: Within two weeks from the last day of registration, a list will be prepared mentioning the names of candidates who have not made the fee payment. Such candidates will be sent e-mail on their registered email ID regarding submission of proof of payment. Applicants will need to submit the proof within ten days failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
