OPSC Result 2018 – Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the result of OPSC preliminary examination on February 11, 2019. OPSC result 2018 is available online in PDF format. OPSC 2018 result of preliminary exam displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the result of preliminary exam, 2662 candidates have been selected to appear for the mains exam. 

OPSC result 2018 of mains exam will be declared to select candidates for the Personality Test. Candidates who will obtain minimum qualifying marks in mains examination will be shortlisted for personality test. On the basis of marks scored in the mains exam and personality test, the final result of OPSC will be declared. The preliminary exam of OPSC was conducted on November 25, 2018. The result of OPSC result is available in PDF format. The result PDF file contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates.


OPSC Result 2018 – Candidate’s Score

The marks obtained by candidates in OPSC will be released a few days after the declaration of result. The marks will be made available either in PDF file or candidates have to login with the required credentials like roll number, registration number and date of birth to check marks. The PDF file will carry serial number, roll number, paper-wise and total marks of all candidates.


OPSC Result 2018 for Preliminary Exam

The preliminary exam comprises two papers – General Studies Paper I and II. The General Studies II of Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. However, candidates need to secure minimum 33% in this paper. Paper I of only those candidates will be evaluated who secures the minimum qualifying percentage. Score of preliminary exam will be calculated out of 400 marks. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be called to appear for the mains exam. The marks of preliminary exam will not be counted for preparation of final merit list. The number of candidates to be selected for the mains exam will not be more than 12 times the total number of vacancies.


OPSC Result 2018 for Mains Exam

The mains exam comprises Odia Language, English, English Essay, General Studies-I & II and two optional papers. Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the mains exam as fixed by the commission will be called for personality test. The marks obtained in Odia Language and English will not be counted for merit list. The papers on Essay, General Studies and Optional subjects of only those candidates will be evaluated who secures minimum qualifying marks in Odia and English.This test is held for 250 marks. There is no minimum qualifying marks for personality test.


OPSC Result 2018 for final selection

OPSC final result will be declared based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the written exam and personality test. OPSC will prepare a category-wise final selection list based on the performance of candidates in mains exam and personality test. The final selection list will carry roll number, name of candidates and their category.


OPSC Cutoff 2018

The cutoff of OPSC is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify the exam. OPSC cutoff of preliminary examination is calculated based on the marks secured by the last selected candidates declared eligible for the mains exam. OPSC decides qualifying marks for Odia and English (compulsory papers). This qualifying marks vary as per year. The final OPSC cutoff is determined based on the total marks secured in mains exam and interview by finally selected candidates. OPSC cutoff is released category-wise separately for male and female candidates.
