First thing about the NDA 1 is that if you were born on February 13, 2008, you are eligible to take the NDA 1 exam and the whole NDA process is of 1 year so when you go for your ssb u need ur 12th passing certificate so if you get your result on time you are eligible for the post if selected. Facing a compartment exam can be concerning, but it typically doesn't hurt your chances for the NDA. The main focus of the selection process is your performance on the written exam and the SSB interview.

It's important to be open about your academic history during the SSB interview. Be ready to share why you had to take the compartment exam and how you dealt with it. A positive attitude and confidence can really help you handle this situation well.

Hello Ashwin,

Choosing between a career in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other fields via JEE, KCET, or CUET ultimately depends on where your passion and career goals lie. Both paths have distinct futures and demands, and here’s a breakdown to guide your decision:

  1. National Defence Academy (NDA):

    • Career and Training : NDA offers a career in the armed forces with a focus on physical endurance, leadership, discipline, and a lifestyle dedicated to national service. You’ll undergo rigorous training at the academy, leading to positions in the Army, Navy, or Air Force, depending on your interests and performance.

    • Commitment : A career in defense is a lifetime commitment, often with restrictions on flexibility and civilian work options but comes with job security, honor, and lifelong benefits.

    • Growth and Opportunities : The military has a defined hierarchy, and there’s scope for advancement based on merit and experience.

  2. Engineering and Other Streams (via JEE, KCET, CUET):

    • JEE (IIT/NIT) : With a high JEE score, you can enter premier institutes like IITs or NITs, giving you an engineering career path with potential opportunities in tech, research, or even management (if you later opt for an MBA). This path is more versatile, with possibilities across various industries.

    • KCET : Provides similar opportunities within Karnataka’s leading state engineering colleges. The engineering or medical fields here offer a stable and respected profession, but the prestige may differ from that of IITs/NITs.

    • CUET : A high CUET score opens doors to top central universities for various courses, leading to a range of careers depending on your chosen field.

If you have a strong passion for serving the country and find the military lifestyle appealing, NDA might be the right path. However, if you are inclined towards engineering, technology, or a flexible career with civilian opportunities , a path through JEE, KCET, or CUET would provide broader options.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for the National Defence Academy (NDA) after completing your Class 10th boards in 2024-25, as your date of birth is 18/10/2007. However, you must be aware of a few important details regarding the eligibility criteria and application process.

1. **Eligibility Criteria:** To apply for the NDA, you need to have completed your Class 12th with Mathematics and Physics. Since you’re currently in Class 10, ensure that you take these subjects in your 11th and 12th grades.

2. **Age Limit:** The NDA generally accepts candidates between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5 years. With your birth date, you will meet this requirement when you reach the age limit set for the exam.

3. **Application Process:** The application for NDA is typically released twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). You’ll need to fill out the online application form, which usually includes personal details and educational qualifications.

4. **Entrance Exam:** After applying, you must prepare for the NDA written exam, which includes Mathematics and General Ability. Successful candidates will then face an SSB interview.

5. **Preparation:** Start preparing for both your board exams and the NDA entrance exam simultaneously. This approach will help you stay focused on your goal of joining the NDA in the future.

By planning ahead and staying dedicated to your studies, you can successfully position yourself for a future in the NDA.

Hello there,

Unfortunately, PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates are not eligible for the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam . The NDA has strict medical and physical standards that candidates must meet, and individuals with disabilities are generally not considered due to the rigorous nature of the training and the requirements for military service.

Here’s the truth regarding eligibility for PWD candidates:

  1. Physical Fitness Standards : NDA has very stringent physical fitness requirements. Candidates must be in perfect physical and mental health without any disabilities. The training and future responsibilities in the armed forces demand high physical endurance and capabilities.

  2. Medical Examination : Every candidate who clears the NDA written exam must undergo a detailed medical examination conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Any form of disability or medical condition that may affect physical performance is considered grounds for disqualification.

  3. Specific Exclusions : Disabilities such as visual impairments, hearing impairments, physical deformities, or limitations in movement or strength are not permitted. The candidate must meet the specified standards for height, weight, chest expansion, eyesight, and overall fitness.

    Alternatives for PWD Candidates:

While NDA is not open to PWD candidates, individuals with disabilities can explore other career paths in government services , public sector undertakings (PSUs) , or civil services , which offer reservations and specific provisions for PWD candidates.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
