RRB Banks - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts recruitment tests for various posts at the Rural Recruitment Banks (RRBs). Candidates qualifying in the exam are posted at 46 RRBs across the world. Candidates will have to select their desired RRB while filling the application form of IBPS RRB. Candidates must select the RRBs in order of their preference. Candidates can select RRB banks from other states as well. However, candidates must ensure to know the local language of the state wherein they will apply for. How to Select RRB Bank while filling Application Form?

While filling the IBPS RRB application form, candidates must keep the following things in mind for selecting the RRB Banks as per their choice:

  • Candidates can select only that e RRB for the state from which they are applying.

  • Candidates can select only 5 participating RRBS while filling the application form.

  • To select the desired RRB bank, candidates will have to click on the check box available against the bank name.

  • Through drag and drop, candidates can change the order of preference.

Candidates must considered some of the following factors before they

  • Decide whether one needs a home posting or not.

  • Select the location and banks depending upon the distance of the headquarter from your state.

  • Consider factors like number of branches, the environment of the workplace, career growth perspective, transfer policy etc.

Once the recruitment process is over, the candidates shortlisted in the final merit list will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs, The allotment of the candidates to the RRB will be done on the merit cum preference basis. The joining letters will be provided by the respective RRB along with the terms and conditions and formalities for verification being held by the RRB itself.

To get an IBPS RRB job in 2025 , follow these steps:

1. You must have a graduate degree and meet the age limit as per the post.

2. IBPS releases notifications on www.ibps.in (http://www.ibps.in) around June-July every year. Fill out the form before the deadline.

3. IBPS RRB selection has Prelims, Mains, and Interview (for Officer Scale I, II, III). Only Prelims and Mains for Clerk (Office Assistant).

4. For officer posts, you need to clear the interview round after the mains exam.

5. IBPS will release a merit list, and if you qualify, you will get a job in an RRB .
