Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 - Indian Coast Guard has released the admit card for Indian Coast Guard Navik for General Duty (GD) in online mode. The admit card is available online from September 17 to 23, 2019. Candidates can use their Registration Number/Email ID and DOB to download the admit card. Application form for Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 (GD) was released from August 26 to September 01, 2019 in online mode. Candidates who age between 18 to 22 years are eligible to appear for Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 (GD) post. The selection process comprises – written exam, physical fitness test and initial medical examination. Candidates selected for this post have to undergo training at Indian Naval Ship (INS) Chilka. Indian Coast Guard 2019 Navik eligibility criteria - Candidates must meet the basic criteria in order to be eligible for the test and the recruitment process. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria related to age, educational qualification, etc before applying for the test.

The application form of Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 is available in online mode only for both GD and DB posts. Candidates need to select the post of their choice and fill in the basic details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, age etc. They also need to upload a photograph and signature while filling up the forms.
Candidates must read all the terms and conditions, notification carefully to check their eligibility and the procedure of filling the form before online registration.

Fill in the basic details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, email and phone number.
Also, put the exact percentage of marks obtained in class 12 and this should not be rounded off.
Select any one centre.
Candidates have to upload photograph and signature in JPEG format. The size of the photograph and signature should not exceed 40 kb and 30 kb respectively.

On successful submission of application, a unique application/registration number will appear. Candidates must note down this number for future reference.

The exam centres of Indian Coast Guard Navik are the venues where the entrance examination will be held. Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 exam will be held in multiple exam centres across the Northern, North-East, East, West, and North-West zones of India.

Candidates will be shortlisted for written test on the basis of the higher percentage of marks obtained in class 10th and 12th respectively.
Candidates who will qualify written test have to go for a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and initial medical examination. The whole process will take up to 2 days. (Candidates who are physically challenged are not eligible for this examination.)
Shortlisted candidates will undergo an initial medical examination.
The final list of selected candidates will be prepared according to the vacancies available.
For Navik (DB), the zone wise list will be announced on March 2019. Whereas the zone wise list for Navik GD will be announced in December/January. Merit will be zone wise and not centre wise.
Note: All the selected candidates will undergo a Final Medical Examination at INS Chilka. Candidates declared medically unfit there will have to return back at their own expenses.
ICG will declare the result of Indian Coast Guard Navik 2019 GD in the form of PDF. Candidates shortlisted will have to appear for the final medical examination at INS Chilka. All the final selected candidates will be eligible to undergo training the programme conducted by the exam conducting body.

Navik (GD) are trained at INS Chilka for 24 weeks. The basic training will commence in February, followed by sea and professional training. Also, Navik has to go through afloat training for 3 months followed by Cadre training. The training period will depend upon the cadre and may vary from 4-6 months.
Navik (DB) will be trained at INS Chilka for 15 weeks. The training will commence in April 2019. They will also undergo the basic sea and professional training followed by afloat training for 3 months and also 6 months branch training at INS Hamla in Mumbai.
A navik in Indian coast guard serves either as sailor, divers, weapon system operator or work in the domestic branch as steward or cook.
On joining the Indian coast guard, candidates will be given basic pay of Rs. 21700/-. They will also be given Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the place of posting and duty as per the rules and regulation.

Promotion to the officer cadre will depend upon the candidate’s performance and suitability.
As per the existing rules, the employees will be given free ration and clothing. Also, they will be given free medical treatment for themselves, dependent parents and family.
They will also be given Government accommodation for the family on a nominal license fee.
They can avail canteen and loan facilities.
They can have 08 casual leaves and 45 earned leave every year.
Contributory Pension Scheme and Gratuity on retirement
