Indian Coast Guard had released notification for Navik General Duty (GD) recruitment on January 10, 2019. The online application form was available from January 21 to 31, 2019. Before applying online, candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 2019 in order to avoid any rejection at later stages. To be eligible for the post of General Duty, the age of candidates must be between 18 to 21 years. They must also have passed 10+2/HSC with an aggregate of 50% marks as well as they must have also scored 50% and more in Physics and Mathematics from a recognized institute and also they must be physically fit. Candidates will be selected for the post of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 2019 on the basis of their performance in written exam, physical fitness test, and medical examination. The written test will be conducted between April and May 2019. Selected candidates will have to undergo a training programme held at INS, Chilka. The training will commence in July to August 2019.

Indian Coast Guard has released the Indian Coast Guard Navik GD admit card 2019 in online mode. Only those candidates can download the admit card who have successfully submitted the application form of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 2019. They can access their admit card by entering the registration number or application number in the login window. Candidates are required to bring three photo-copies of the Indian Coast Guard Navik GD Admit Card 2019, one colour passport size photograph (taken against the blue background) any one identity card like Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Passport, Pan Card. Indian Coast Guard Navik GD Selection Procedure 2019 includes - written test, physical fitness test and medical examination. For the written test of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 2019, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of higher percentage of marks secured in class 12th. Candidates qualifying the written exam will have to undergo the physical fitness test and initial medical examination conducted for about two days. All the final selected candidates will have to appear for the final medical examination that will be conducted at INS Chilka. In case, if any candidate is found medically not fit at the final medical examination, they will not be selected for further training. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the number of vacancies.
