Candidates can fill the application form of Indian Coast Guard Navik 2020 from January 26 to February 2, 2020 for the Ground Duty posts in online mode. Candidates must select the post of their choice and fill the basic details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, age etc. Candidates also have to upload a photograph and signature while filling up the forms.

How to Apply for Indian Coast Guard Navik 2020

  • Go to the official website - joinindiancoastguard.gov.in

  • Select the post of Navik - Domestic Branch/General Duty

  • Fill in the basic details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, email and phone number.

  • Also, put the exact percentage of marks obtained in class 12 and this should not be rounded off.

  • Select any one centre.

  • Candidates have to upload a photograph and signature in JPEG format. The size of the photograph and signature should not exceed 40 kb and 30 kb respectively.

  • Fill up all the star marked entries, all those are compulsory.

  • After filling up all the details, go through the form once again before clicking the submit button.

  • On successful submission of application, a unique application/registration number will appear. Candidates must note down this number for future reference.

Note: The candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth should not differ from that on the class tenth certificate.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Admit Card 2020 (GD)

Candidates can download the admit card of Indian Coast Guard Navik from February 15 to 22, 2020 in online mode from the official website. To download Indian Coast Guard Navik 2020 admit card, candidates have to use their application/registration number. The admit card will contain details related to the candidate and the examination like name, application number, post applied, exam date and time, centre details etc. Candidates must download the admit card of Indian Coast Guard Navik 2020 and bring it to the exam centre on the day of examination.

Permanent address and domicile of the candidate should be of the same place/state.

Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, aadhar card/ voter i-card, pan card, school/ college id-card or any other photo identity proof

Reserved category applicants availing age/percentage relaxation, either current or permanent address of online application should be same as the address mentioned in caste/category certificate (SC, ST & OBC)/Income certificate for EWSs (Economically Weaker Sections). In case of OBC, the category certificate should not be more than 3

financial years old and for such cases renewed/fresh certificate to be produced shall be in original as per Govt. of India format.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Selection Process 2020

Aspirants of Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) 2020 have to go through three stages of recruitment.

  1. Written Test

  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  3. Fitness in Medical examination

Written Exam - Candidates will be shortlisted for the written test on the basis of the higher percentage of marks obtained in class 10th and 12th respectively.

Physical Fitness Test And Medical Examination- Candidates who qualify the written test have to go for a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and initial medical examination. The medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed. The whole process will take up to 2 days.

The PFT consists of the following standards:

  1. 1.6 km run must be completed in 7 minutes.
  2. 20 Squat ups (uthak baithak)
  3. 10 Push up.

Indian Coast Guard Navik 2020 Training

Navik (GD)

  • Candidates are trained at INS Chilka for 24 weeks.

  • The basic training will commence followed by sea and professional training.

  • Also, Navik has to go through afloat training for 3 months followed by Cadre training.

  • The training period will depend upon the cadre and may vary from 4-6 months.

Navik (DB)

  • Candidates will be trained at INS Chilka for 15 weeks.

  • Also, they have to undergo the basic sea and professional training followed by afloat training for 3 months and 6 months branch training at INS Hamla in Mumbai.

On joining the Indian coast guard, candidates will be given basic pay of Rs. 21700/-. They will also be given Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the place of posting and duty as per the rules and regulation.
